After quite some time, the much-anticipated second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City will be airing on British TV screens in no time at all.
For American audiences, Season 2 has concluded not long ago, leaving fans of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) eagerly awaiting what’s to come. However, viewers on the other side of the ocean haven’t had a glimpse yet of what lies ahead. But that wait ends on Thursday 10th July.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll have the chance to watch the entire series at once, as it will be released as a complete collection on both Sky Atlantic and NOW platforms. This means that you’ll be able to enjoy all eight episodes back-to-back when it becomes available.
The widely known show chronicles the journey of Maggie and Negan through a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, once connected to the mainland but now isolated for quite some time.
In the second season, the ongoing battle for power over New York City persists, and Maggie and Negan find themselves in opposing camps, following the storyline of the show.
As their journeys cross, they realize that the solutions they seek are far more intricate and treacherous than they had originally thought.
In the second part, events unfold six months following the conclusion of season 1. According to writer Scott Gimple in an interview with Collider, “Season 2 can be seen as a reboot of season 1, as relationships and alliances undergo significant changes, leaving characters on entirely new sides, often in ways they didn’t foresee.
To put it simply, what I find fascinating is its unpredictability. No matter where it might lead, each new season brings a surprise – and that’s one of the reasons why I love this show so much.
