As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but express my gratitude for the PS5 console bundle that’s brought Sony’s charming platformer, Astro Bot, to the limelight. This little guy has been holding strong at the second spot on the UK’s physical games chart, and it seems like he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. For weeks now, Astro Bot has been a consistent top-three contender, making every gaming session a joy!
Tekken 8 has returned to the top 10, coming back from the dead straight to number three.
It’s true that several games have seen a comeback recently, possibly due to price reductions. Games like Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, Elden Ring, and Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition are currently ranking among the top 10 again.
In other places, the rankings show that Monster Hunter Wilds has dropped to fourth, while Assassin’s Creed Shadows has fallen to fifth.
Conspicuously missing from the UK’s traditional market of physical games is Nintendo, a usual frontrunner. The reason could be the availability of affordable multi-platform software, as previously discussed, along with speculations about the upcoming Switch 2 console. It appears that potential customers might be delaying their purchases in anticipation of this new device.
