Approaching soon is the 50th anniversary of Amity Island’s 50th Annual Regatta, and National Geographic is commemorating the event by releasing “JAWS @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story,” a fresh 90-minute documentary. This new documentary delves into the making of Steven Spielberg’s iconic summer blockbuster “Jaws” – a film that is often hailed as one of his finest works and a revolutionary cinematic milestone. The making-of-style film is set to air on National Geographic on July 10, and it will be available on Disney+ and Hulu on July 11.

Celebrating 50 years, the documentary ‘Jaws @ 50’ is skillfully directed by Laurent Bouzereau, renowned for his recent work on the documentary ‘Masters of Air’s Real-Life Heroes’. This new project promises to unveil a wealth of previously untold stories about the iconic shark movie. The film includes never-before-seen footage, such as home videos and outtakes, along with exclusive interviews with the original cast and crew, as well as prominent filmmakers and enthusiasts like George Lucas, Jordan Peele, J.J. Abrams, James Cameron, Robert Zemeckis, Guillermo del Toro, and others.
