Undisputed – Everything You Need to Know

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that Undisputed has truly captured my attention with its ambitious approach to boxing games. The level of control and personalization it offers is nothing short of remarkable. To be able to manage my career, make key choices, and even create my own fighter from scratch – this is a dream come true for any fight fan like myself!

For more than a year and a half, the boxing simulator Undisputed has been in early access. However, Steel City Interactive’s creation is now set to fully debut. The game will soon emerge from early access, coinciding with its release on current-generation consoles. Given that boxing enthusiasts seldom receive a plethora of games, it’s no wonder there’s quite a buzz about the upcoming 1.0 launch of Undisputed. As we gear up for its debut, let’s delve into some crucial details about what it promises to offer.

MOVEMENT

Steel City Interactive has been committed to delivering the most authentic boxing simulation mechanics since its inception, and a significant aspect of this will be the way you manage movement within the game. Players will have full command over their movements around the ring, with precise control over footwork and stamina using the Flat Footed Movement and Loose Movement options. This means that every step, spin, and dodge in the game will be under your direct control, as promised by the developers.

OFFENSE AND DEFENSE

In addition to its mechanics of movement and footwork, the game “Undisputed” offers more than 60 distinct types of punches for players to throw at their opponents, ranging from hooks to uppercuts to jabs, and many others. On the defensive side, quick thinking, footwork, blocks, and other strategies will be essential not only to dodge attacks but also to counterattack effectively. The timing of your attacks and defensive moves, along with managing your movement within the ring, will significantly impact your performance in a fight.

ROSTER

In essence, this game is primarily about fighting, and like all such games, its success hinges significantly on its roster of playable characters. At its debut, it will offer around 70 fighters spread across ten weight classes, making it the largest collection of licensed boxers ever introduced in a major boxing game to date. The roster is also designed to span a broad spectrum of the sport’s history, allowing players to choose from contemporary champions, up-and-coming stars, or even legendary fighters from various eras. Furthermore, each boxer’s in-game model has been crafted using scanning technology.

STATS

Undisputed – Everything You Need to Know

In Undisputed, it’s emphasized that each fighter offers unique playing experiences due to their distinct attributes. These characteristics span a wide range, from health and recovery rates to stamina, defense mechanisms, agility, individual hand power, mental qualities, and more. Furthermore, the way each fighter performs in combat will mirror their real-life counterparts’ fighting styles, so if a boxer is renowned for a particular punching or guarding technique, expect that same style to be replicated in Undisputed.

CAREER MODE

One appealing aspect of “Undisputed” for numerous players lies in its Career Mode, where you can assume the role of an up-and-coming fighter striving to rise through the ranks, accumulate multiple titles, dominate a succession of opponents, and ultimately become the undisputed champion. As you progress, you’ll face crucial decisions such as selecting your coaches, negotiating fight contracts, and other aspects, all of which will shape your career journey in distinct ways.

MORE CAREER MODE DETAILS

In Career Mode, players are challenged to maintain long-term success by managing their professional careers. This involves having full authority over your training sessions and training camps. The types of camps you select and the specific areas you decide to specialize in will play crucial roles in shaping your journey towards greatness.

MULTIPLAYER

Undisputed – Everything You Need to Know

For individuals seeking a multiplayer engagement, Undisputed will cater to this need as well. It’s confirmed that players can find matches with others, and there will even be ranked matches and leaderboards for those who are competitive. However, for those preferring less competitive play or simply wanting to challenge their friends, the ability to create custom lobbies will also be provided.

PRIZE FIGHTS

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about the extra mode, “Prize Fights,” that Undisputed has in store outside of Career Mode and multiplayer. These aren’t your typical bouts; each fight is a limited-time event with unique challenges. You might find yourself battling as a particular boxer or working towards specific victory conditions. The variety doesn’t end there, as the fights are regularly rotated, ensuring there’s always a fresh reason to log in and see what’s new.

CHARACTER CREATOR

Apart from allowing you to play with over 70 real-life fighters, Undisputed offers an exciting feature: crafting your own fighter from the ground up. For customization, the character creation toolkit lets you adjust numerous aspects of your fighter’s appearance, such as body shape, facial features, clothing, and more. Furthermore, you get to select fighting styles, stances, blocking techniques, and even define traits and stats that influence your character’s abilities.

VENUES

Undisputed – Everything You Need to Know

Steel City Interactive has announced that “Undisputed” will have a total of six venues upon its launch, with one venue being an outdoor location and another, known as Coldwell’s Gym, being a larger indoor arena. It is unclear if the developers plan to include additional venues in the game after its release.

PC REQUIREMENTS

For players who prefer PC gaming, they’ll be pleased to know that Undisputed’s full release will support it too. The minimum requirements are manageable with a 3.4GHz i5 7500 or a 3.2GHz Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, coupled with either a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 590 graphics card, and at least 8 GB of RAM. On the higher end, the recommended setup calls for a 3.7GHz i7 9700K or a 4.2GHz Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, along with either a GeForce RTX 3070, RTX 2070, or Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU and 16 GB of RAM. Additionally, ensure you have approximately 40 GB of available storage space on your PC for the game.
