In a new, humorous three-part audiobdrama titled “Mythos,” beloved actress Nicola Walker shares the screen with Tim McInnerny, known for roles in Blackadder and Notting Hill, exploring paranormal themes with a dash of wit.
The production is both penned and overseen by Julian Simpson, who has previously worked on Doctor Who episodes and BBC Radio 4’s The Lovecraft Investigations.
Mythos is described as a series that looks at British folklore through a quasi-scientific prism.
The story revolves around a clandestine government organization that tackles mysterious and otherworldly dangers.
Walker stars as the ghost of a nun, while McInnerny plays her boss.
In the first episode, her character searches for a spell book in a remote village.
Mythos boasts the talents of Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in Wicked, Bridgerton, and Van der Valk’s Emma Fielding, along with Underworld’s Steven Mackintosh.
Originally aired on BBC Radio 4 in 2017, the opening episode, titled “Mythos,” will replay on the station this coming Sunday, June 1st, starting at 4 pm.
In the upcoming schedule, the second episode titled “Glamis” will be aired next Sunday, specifically on the 8th of June, at the same scheduled time. The third episode named “Albion” will follow a week later, airing at 4pm on Sunday, the 15th of June.
