Unicorn Overlord Exceeds 1 Million Units Sold

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades under my belt, I must say that 2024 has been a remarkable year for me, and Unicorn Overlord by Atlus is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Being a long-time fan of Vanillaware’s work, I can confidently state that this game has not only exceeded expectations but also set a new standard for fantasy tactical RPGs.

2024 has proven to be an exceptional year for Atlus, with “Unicorn Overlord” undeniably shining as a standout moment. This fantasy tactical RPG has not only garnered significant acclaim for both Atlus and developer Vanillaware in the critical arena, but it’s also maintaining consistent sales figures.

In a recent announcement, Atlus shares that their game, “Unicorn Overlord,” has surpassed 1 million copies sold globally. To celebrate this achievement, they’ve unveiled stunning new artwork by Takashi Noma of Vanillaware, featuring characters Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde in the setting of Berengaria. Take a look at the tweet below for more details!

Within approximately four weeks after its launch, the game “Unicorn Overlord” had already surpassed half a million in global sales. Since then, it’s continued to sell well, showing good pace, particularly when considering its performance against previous games from Vanillaware.

According to job postings from earlier this year, it appears that Vanillaware is presently developing a brand-new fantasy action RPG. For further details, check it out here.

The game titled “Unicorn Overlord” can be found on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S. However, developer Vanillaware has announced that they currently have no plans to release the game for PC platforms.
