Universal Orlando Resort Bringing Harry Potter's Death Eaters Back for Halloween

As a long-time Potterhead who has grown up with the magical adventures of Harry and his friends, I must say that the return of the Death Eaters to Universal Orlando Resort is a thrilling prospect! Having witnessed their sinister presence at last year’s Halloween Horror Nights, I can attest to the chilling atmosphere they bring. Their return to Knockturn Alley will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for any fan of the franchise.

In the magical world of Harry Potter, audiences encountered many ominous perils, with the menacing Death Eaters standing out as particularly fearsome. This fall, visitors to Universal Orlando Resort may encounter these sinister beings up close as they’ll be making an appearance in Diagon Alley during Halloween Horror Nights. Whether you want to confront them or steer clear, they will be prowling Knockturn Alley. The Death Eaters will make their presence felt on select nights between August 29th and November 3rd, which also happens to be the duration of Halloween Horror Nights at the park.

According to a recent announcement, “The sinister side of magic makes its comeback at Universal Orlando Resort this autumn as the notorious Death Eaters reappear in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley within Universal Studios Florida on certain dates from August 29th to November 3rd. This immersive live show places visitors in close proximity with Lord Voldemort’s most faithful followers, the ominous Death Eaters, as they prowl through London and into the murky alleys of Knockturn Alley. These diehard witches and wizards have no qualms about employing the Dark Arts and will dare guests to ally with the Dark Lord. Fans can also browse dark-themed merchandise, including t-shirts, accessories, and Death Eater masks, at Borgin and Burkes in Diagon Alley or choose from a selection of Death Eater wands at Ollivanders.”

Last year, the Death Eaters first appeared at the park, creating quite a stir and capturing everyone’s attention. Now, they are back again this year, having left such an impression, it seems they will be returning annually.

Fortunately for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights attendees at Universal Orlando Resort, the Death Eaters are just one of many spine-chilling encounters on tap. Among the movie-inspired haunted houses are A Quiet Place, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Insidious: The Further, and Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines. Fans will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in original houses such as Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America, Slaughter Sinema 2, The Museum: Deadly Exhibits, Major Sweets Candy Factory, Goblin’s Feast, and Triplets of Terror.

Similar to past seasons, this year’s park setup includes five Scare Zones, along with fresh acts, goods, and culinary options scattered across the entire park.

Halloween Horror Nights runs at Universal Orlando Resort August 29th through November 3rd.
