Recently, a fresh teaser has been unveiled, emphasizing some of the tools you’ll need to combat the evil entities while attempting to flee from Purgatory.
In this collection, you’ll find some timeless weapons that long-time enthusiasts will appreciate; the iconic ‘Painkiller’ makes a comeback, featuring rotating blades that can not only spin but also be launched to latch onto foes and surrounding objects.
Additionally, the stakegun is equipped with the ability to launch large spikes at adversaries, embedding them onto surfaces, including walls. In an alternate function, it mimics the behavior of a grenade launcher, much like the initial game did.
Moreover, these weapons – the shotgun and SMG – not only perform their standard roles but also possess unique abilities to chill and scorch adversaries.
We observe the multi-purpose launcher system, equipped with a rapid-fire mechanism as well, along with the hand gun, and an energy weapon called the electrodriver. This latter device expels shuriken that bounce off surfaces and link up to create electric chains.
2025 seems set to be an exciting year for this brand of intense first-person action, with the promise of both a lot of fun and DOOM: The Dark Ages on the horizon.
