Unlock 15% More FPS in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with Intel’s Latest Driver Update!

As a tech enthusiast, I’m excited to share that on March 19th, Intel rolled out an update for its “Game On” driver specifically designed for Arc & Iris Xe graphics hardware. The new version, numbered 32.0.101.6651, isn’t officially tested by Windows Hardware Quality Labs, but it has been signed by Microsoft. You can download this update directly from Intel’s official website.

The new driver is compatible with Intel’s most recent Arc B-Series “Battlemage” graphics cards, such as the budget-friendly B570 and B580 models designed for high-definition gaming at 1440p resolution, in addition to the previous-generation Arc A-Series “Alchemist” cards and the integrated GPUs available in Core Ultra Series 1 and 2 mobile processors from Intel.

For those who own an Intel Arc graphics card, they can immediately delve into the finely tuned ambiance of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, as game-specific benefits are now available. However, the most enticing advantage is reserved for enthusiasts of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 who choose to upgrade from driver version 32.0.101.6647.

FPS boosts for Black Ops 6 on Intel Arc B-Series

For gamers using an Intel Arc B570 or B580 graphics card, whether it’s a branded Intel model or from manufacturers like Sparkle or ASRock, Intel claims that performance can increase by up to 15% on average for frames per second (FPS) at 1080p with maximum settings in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. If you decide to play at a higher resolution of 1440p, the improvement could be around 12%.

It’s important to note that for gamers utilizing Intel Arc A-Series GPUs such as the A750, which is comparable to the RTX 3060, there’s a potential issue with Black Ops 6. In certain parts of the campaign when DirectX 12 is used, the shadows may appear darker than anticipated.

Users playing Warzone 2.0 may encounter issues related to DX12 on Intel Arc B-Series graphics cards and Intel Core Ultra Series 2 integrated chips, specifically visual distortions or inconsistencies appearing in water regions during specific game situations, which have been mentioned among the list of reported problems.

Regarding the driver issues, they’re mainly minor and likely won’t cause significant distractions for most gamers, assuming the water corruption bug doesn’t manifest in multiplayer levels. We plan to verify this ourselves before release.
