The previous week saw the debut of Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s initial Star Wars-themed content. Post the arrival of R2-D2 and the Naboo Villa, the game has expanded its offerings in anticipation of Star Wars Day. The freshly launched cosmetics enable players to style their characters after two emblematic figures from the prequels: Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Moreover, players can acquire Anakin’s Lightsaber alongside these costumes. These items are now available for purchase at the following prices indicated below:

Padme’s Lakefront Outfit consists of a dress, hairdo, and footwear. On the other hand, Anakin’s Jedi Attire includes a Jedi robe, cape, hairstyle, and boots. Notably, the Lightsaber serves as an accessory that your character can carry, along with providing four unique poses for the game’s snapshot feature. Regrettably, this particular Lightsaber is only available in Anakin’s color, leaving no room for customization. It would be appealing to have the option to switch its color to red, green, or purple without additional costs, though future updates may introduce other Lightsabers in the shop for purchase with Moonstones.

After the recent Premium Shop update in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players might not receive further Star Wars-themed content in the short term. As all this content was unveiled prior to the Wonderland Whimsy update, unless the developers have some hidden plans, there’s likely a pause in new content. However, if the response is positive, we may witness an abundance of Star Wars content later on. At present, no Star Wars Villagers have appeared in the game, but hints suggest Grogu might be added at some point. Unfortunately, specific details about the game’s future after its summer update are still unclear, but a new roadmap should be released soon.

Starting from the initial release of Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2022, the game developer, Gameloft, has mainly concentrated on characters and aspects from classic Disney and Pixar movies, steering clear of Marvel and Star Wars. However, it appears that this strategy is starting to shift for Star Wars, even if we haven’t seen any Marvel-related content yet. The inclusion of Star Wars elements would significantly broaden the game’s potential, offering possibilities such as new characters for the Village, Star Wars-themed park attractions, and Star Path themes.
