The Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 continues to prove hugely popular.
In Season 2 of Treyarch’s 2024 launch, we were introduced to a fresh map called The Tomb, brimming with hidden treasures and requiring players to fight off the undead simultaneously.
Obtaining a new Wonder Weapon is what awaits players with the introduction of the freshly unveiled map. This latest acquisition, seamlessly fitting into the growing collection, proves to be an ideal tool for handling adversaries effectively.
In this post, you’ll discover all the necessary details about acquiring the Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 6 Zombies, plus useful advice for crafting it swiftly. Enjoy!
How to craft Staff of Ice in CoD BO6 explained
As a passionate enthusiast, the initial phase of constructing my Staff of Ice entails unlocking the enigmatic Door to Nowhere.
As a keen explorer, I’d suggest stepping through each doorway that guides you towards the Subterranean Temple, then engaging with the stone pedestal once you arrive.
A ray of light will demolish the wall, creating an entrance that players can step through, leading them into the center of the Dark Aether.
The Monocle
After that, defeat a Shock Mimic which appears around number eight. Once defeated, it will drop a Monocle.
Or more casually:
Once we reach number eight, a Shock Mimic will show up. Defeating it rewards us with a Monocle.
The symbols
As a dedicated enthusiast, I find myself wielding this enigmatic artifact known as the Monocle. Guiding me now are its instructions: venture forth to the mysterious Tombs, seek out and fire upon the ethereal lamps tinted in a regal purple hue. These actions will unveil symbols reminiscent of ancient Roman numerals adorning the very walls themselves.
Arrange the symbols numerically, then fire them off to create lines over the picture. This action will trigger a lockdown during which radiant purple undead creatures will materialize.
It’s strongly advisable to carry at least one weapon you’ve Pack-a-Punched, since the multitude of undead enemies that show up in confined spaces can become too much to handle.
Overcome the surging waters and retrieve the staff afterwards. After completion, make your way to the catacombs, match symbols to vanquish the zombies emerging from the violet gateways as part of the procedure.
Once done, you’ll find the Artifact positioned near the wall. Grab it and tuck it into your belongings for safekeeping.
Crafting the staff
Gathering all three parts of the Staff of Ice, make your way back to the Dark Aether Nexus to construct the Powerful Artifact, also known as the Wonder Weapon.
The highest point at the nexus features a stone base. Arrange the components in the center of this base to activate another lockdown sequence.
Over the course of this period, numerous adversaries will attempt to thwart the construction of the Staff of Ice. Ensure you’re well-stocked with ammo and useful items to ward off these foes while the staff is being put together.
If the orange bar on the left of the screen resets, the process starts all over again.
After the procedure is finished, go back to the platform and grab the freshly made Staff of Ice, which will effectively halt the enemy.
How to upgrade Staff of Ice in CoD BO6
Want to amplify the strength of your Ice Staff in Black Ops 6 Zombies? You have the option to enhance it for greater impact, but be aware that upgrading anything in this game usually isn’t easy-peasy.
The Dark Aether lamps
The initial step for the upgrade procedure is aiming the Staff of Ice at the Dark Aether orbs suspended in diverse spots.
In a span of ten seconds, you manage to strike three of them. A voice note from Archibald confirms successful hits.
After multiple tries, we found success in timing our strikes on the three lanterns. Our suggestion is to arrange them systematically within the Catacombs, Ossuary, and Subterranean Temple for an optimal experience.
The rock symbols
Now, make your way back to the central hub of the Dark Aether, known as its nexus. Here, you will find three hovering stones that require a strike from your staff imbued with ice’s power to unveil additional symbols.
The rocks in question have a dark blue tinge around them. Hit them to see the symbols on each one.
Once all the symbols are revealed, one of the portals returning to the Tomb will be sealed off.
Head back to the main map and find the door displaying eight symbols.
Using the Staff of Ice, shoot the symbols matching the rocks to reopen the portal.
Incorrect actions could lead to a premature demise through the portal, thus it’s crucial that the symbols you press are accurate.
The orb
Once you input the right keys, you’ll end up on a raised area within the Nexus of the Dark Aether, where a glowing violet orb is located nearby.
Or:
After entering the correct characters, you’ll find yourself on an elevated spot in the center of the Dark Aether Nexus, with a radiant purple orb close by.
After being turned on, leap from the platform and circle it throughout the Dark Aether Nexus. Keep in mind that numerous zombies will appear, so avoid wandering too far away because the defeated zombies will rush towards the orb.
As the ball nears the Pack-a-Punch device, a creature called Amalgam will materialize. Disregard it and continue your path towards the ball instead.
The glowing sphere will guide you to the location where the Staff of Ice was created, and after a brief moment, a white display will flash, followed by the sphere materializing right in the middle of that very spot.
Interact with it to obtain the upgraded Staff of Ice, known as Ull’s Arrow.
