As a passionate movie enthusiast, I can’t help but be excited for the upcoming horror anime adaptation of Junji Ito’s 1998 manga. Even before its release, the buzz is palpable – critics are already singing its praises, promising a chilling experience that will leave me on the edge of my seat.
In the anime version, we follow two teens as they uncover peculiar occurrences in their town of Kurouzu-cho. It skillfully recreates some of the manga’s most memorable scenes, even though it struggles to fit everything into its limited running time.

Currently, we’re only expecting to see four episodes of Uzumaki.
Due to complications caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the release of the series faced numerous challenges, but the dedicated producers wanted to ensure a polished final product given the popularity of the original manga.
