Valve founder Gabe Newell is so into Stalker 2, he’s already found the fourth ending

Gabe ‘Gaben’ Newell significantly transformed the gaming world through the development of Half-Life and the establishment of Steam. Currently thriving more than ever before, Valve Corporation, the renowned game developer, is enjoying its success by unwinding, taking it easy, and immersing itself in a variety of games.

It’s interesting to note that recently, Gabe Newell (Valve’s founder) has been engrossed in playing Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a game developed by GSC Game World. Despite its initial launch with several problems that the team is still working to resolve, Newell has spent numerous hours delving into the game world, known as the Zone.

Gabe Newell loves Stalker 2

In a social media post, a fan’s email conversation with Gabe Newell was shared, where Newell expressed his liking for survival-themed games. A Reddit user named Walrus6444 dared to inquire about the PC gaming legend’s preferred choices: “Hey Mr. Newell, could you tell us which games you personally enjoy playing?

Recently, I’ve found myself immersed in the captivating world of Stalker 2. Tomorrow, I expect to uncover its elusive fourth ending. After that, I’ll need to decide on my next digital adventure.

Playing Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl from start to finish takes approximately 35 hours, suggesting that Newell has likely spent hundreds of hours exploring the Zone due to its lack of a new game plus feature and the requirement of obtaining all four endings.

Although Gabe Newell has temporarily stepped back from Stalker 2, the development team at GSC Game World continues to be actively involved. They’ve outlined a plan for addressing issues and are also working on creating more user-friendly modifying tools. Therefore, the game still has some distance to cover in its development process.

Moreover, Game Studio Creative (GSC) is not only preparing for upcoming expansions of the game but also intends to reintegrate discarded content from the development process. By the way, a multiplayer feature is currently under development too!
