As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia upon seeing the leaked images of the Steam Controller 2. The original Steam Controller was a game-changer for me, revolutionizing my PC gaming experience in ways I never thought possible. So, to see its successor taking shape is nothing short of thrilling!

It looks like an unintended early look with the latest Steam Controller 2 leaks!

Valve’s latest driver update may have slipped a few too many files that were unattended.

Based on the visuals of the new Steam Controller 2, it seems they’ve made enhancements, primarily by incorporating additional trackpads. The reason behind this improvement lies in the fact that the original controller’s standout feature was its pads, a detail that’s widely appreciated among users.

Information regarding prototypes of the Steam Controller 2 and controllers designed for Valve’s upcoming VR headset surfaced in a recent SteamVR update. Kudos to @SadlyItsBradley and @Down_90 for sharing this valuable information and visuals.

Furthermore, we’re equipped with joysticks, D-pads, and trackpads, which means we have all the necessary tools at our disposal, unlike the previous one that only had pads. Thus, it’s clear that we possess a complete set of controls.

While it remains to be determined if the Dpad will excel in fighting games, it’s clear that trackpads perform exceptionally well in shooter games.

As a fellow enthusiast, I can’t help but notice the striking resemblance of these VR controllers to the original design, but with an appealing classic face button layout on the right side. What stands out most is the presence of two triggers, one on each front side, making it three in total per controller for an immersive gaming experience.

Although we have the controllers, we do not have anything for the upcoming headset itself.

Additionally, some enthusiasts have noted a resemblance between the Steam Controller 2 and the Steamdeck due to its current bulky appearance. This thickness raises concerns about potential thumb strain when gripping it.

As a gamer, let me tell you, the response from fellow gamers regarding this new controller has largely been thumbs up! If you’ve never tried the original Steam Controller, let me fill you in – it feels a bit peculiar at first, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it grows on you pretty quickly.

The device lacked any hint of being low-quality, and when it comes to hardware, Vale certainly delivers. I’m among many who are eagerly anticipating the new Steam Controller 2. It seems that it aces the Body Mass Index (BMI) test, which is quite impressive.

It appears that, based on the model specifications, Valve seems to be aiming for a versatile controller, similar to the multifunctionality offered by the Steamdeck. Just as the Steamdeck is packed with various features, this controller also promises the same. However, it seems to resemble the Steamdeck, but without the screen.

Currently, it’s uncertain precisely how the item will be experienced when held due to speculation. It might turn out one way or another. The main issue that may arise is the accessibility for consumers. Primarily, there’s concern about whether Steam will produce enough copies so it’ll be easy for us to obtain it.

Speaking frankly, acquiring the original Steam Controller was no simple feat. Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that there’s another Steam Controller exclusively sold in Japan at present.

I’m hoping that the Steam Controller 2 will be a significant improvement, without the dreadful D-pad issue!
