Vampire Survivors free SaGa Emerald Beyond collaboration DLC ‘Emerald Diorama’ now available

In partnership with Square Enix, Poncle unveiled the new “Emerald Diorama” downloadable content for the game “Vampire Survivors,” a joint effort with “SaGa Emerald Beyond.” This content can be obtained immediately on all platforms at no cost.

In a recent press announcement, Akitoshi Kawazu, the head of the SaGa series, revealed an exciting development for SaGa fans: a joint project between Vampire Survivors and SaGa Emerald Beyond. You might be curious about how these seemingly distinct genres – bullet hell, survival roguelike, and SaGa – could come together. The collaboration was made possible by Luca from poncle’s affection for the SaGa franchise. Although I never thought SaGa would grow in this direction, I am both taken aback and filled with a fresh, invigorating sense of excitement as I witness this unexpected expansion.

Kawazu went on to say, “To all fans of the SaGa series who haven’t dived into Vampire Survivors yet, I strongly encourage you to give it a try and savor the experience. And if you’re already a fan of Vampire Survivors, I invite you to check out SaGa Emerald Beyond. However, let’s first have some fun with Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama. I can’t wait to join in the game myself—until my fingers tire!

In a universe where one decision can alter the course of everything, the characters from SaGa: Emerald Beyond and Vampire Survivors find themselves side by side, preparing for their next joint journey. It’s uncertain if the Vampire Survivors will encounter a real vampire, but who knows what might happen? After all, anything can occur!

As the junction unfolds, the Vampire Survivors find themselves immersed within an intricate network of interconnected realms, ranging from alluring magical kingdoms to terrifying landscapes of nightmarish bloodshed. An eclectic cast of bizarre SaGa protagonists join the Survivors, including:

  • Ameya Aisling – An undercover witch searching for her lost magic (and cats)
  • Bonnie and Formina – A duo of daring detectives who fight side-by-side with fists and firearms.
  • Diva No. 5 – A songstress mech forsaken for singing a forbidden melody, travelling between different worlds (and robotic bodies) to rediscover her memories.
  • And Many More! – Including a teacher of heroes, an Emperor unthawed, and a Dismal King with some bloodthirsty tendencies…

Over 16 New Weapons and the Glimmer Mechanic

40 innovative methods for assault, encompassing fundamental weapons, upgrades, and the captivating Glimmer feature – a unique mechanic from the SaGa series. Each attack with these tools might trigger the learning of a special skill via the Glimmer system on a random basis. The collection ranges from swords, spells, strikes, and projectiles, all embodying the diversity of SaGa.

  • Fleuret – Stab enough encroaching enemies and you’ll Glimmer the Crystalline Carve, letting you freeze foes whilst cutting them down.
  • Pressure Point – Unleash a barrage of martial arts blows at close range to Glimmer the far-reaching fire jab Shenlong Firefist.
  • Hecaton Machine Gun – Shoot a blistering salvo of interestingly inaccurate bullets to Glimmer the Bombarding Fire technique, blasting baddies with a massive upheaval of the earth.
  • Hyperion Bazooka – Master these high-power missiles that explode as they penetrate through hordes of foes to Glimmer the Cosmic Rave to massively multiply your firepower.

Character Parties

A JRPG experience isn’t whole without an eccentric group of companions to interact with. Boost Tsunanori Mido to summon up to four Kugutsu combat automatons, each fighting independently using their unique weapons in a protective X-formation. Choose between Bonnie or Formina to control, as they work together with fists and firearms, creating a formidable duo. In the depths of Yomi, whispers circulate about a Melancholic King who has the power to enchant vanquished enemies, turning them into an army of his own allies…

Showstopper

In a nutshell, when a character in the SaGa game is on the verge of defeat with critically low HP, they show incredible resilience by counterattacking with a Showstopper. This involves a surge of increased power, reduced cooldown time, and a touch of fortune to help them endure, turning a potentially fatal barrage of projectiles into a powerful comeback!

A New World-Weaving Stage

Traverse the Emerald Wave’s intricate landscape filled with connected realms, an ideal location for a side-scrolling adventure where you can defeat hordes of peculiar enemies and eccentric adversaries.
