As a gamer who’s been around the block a few times, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia upon hearing about the upcoming collaboration DLC for Vampire Survivors – Ode to Castlevania. Growing up with a Game Boy Advance in my pocket, I spent countless hours battling Dracula and his minions, so this crossover is like a dream come true!
On October 31st, the upcoming collaboration DLC for Poncle’s “Vampire Survivors” is set to launch, perfectly timed for Halloween. This special addition is named “Ode to Castlevania“, and it will be available across all platforms for $3.99. In this expansion, players join forces with the Belmont family to track down a bloodthirsty vampire!
Have a look at the animated trailer below, featuring a fresh take on “Vampire Killer” music. This downloadable content (DLC) introduces over 20 new characters such as Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Sionia from the Belmont lineage; Sypha, Yoko, Charlotte Aulin, and Maria Renard from the Belnades; along with Shaona and Eric Lecarde. Additionally, you’ll find more than 40 new weapons at your disposal, including multiple whip variants, weapons used by Alucard, Glyphs, spells (including some originating from Game Boy Advance titles).
Initially, certain characters may wield a weapon, but as you progress, each character will acquire at least one Weapon Selection option, similar to how the Belmonts can select their whip. Additionally, players will traverse the largest map in the series and enjoy over 30 fresh tracks, which include remixes and original compositions. Keep an eye out for the DLC release later this month!
