Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Delayed Yet Again

As a seasoned gamer with a library that spans decades, I must admit, I’ve seen delays like this before – they’re as common as a werewolf at a full moon gathering. However, it’s not all doom and gloom. The extra time for polishing is like a fresh coat of blood on an ancient coffin; it makes the final product even more enticing.

The release date for “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2” has been postponed yet again, moving it to the year 2025. Back in 2019, Paradox Interactive shared that they were developing a sequel to the original game, “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.” However, the project has faced a rocky development process and has since been transferred from its initial studio, Hardsuit Labs, to The Chinese Room. Despite initial hopes that “Bloodlines 2” would be out by the end of this year, it appears that won’t be the case anymore.

On Paradox’s official site, they announced a new release date for “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2”. Instead of launching in late 2024 as initially planned, the game will now be available to the public in the first half of 2025. Paradox decided to delay the release to give the game more time for polishing and refinement before it hits the shelves. Although it was possible to launch the game at the end of 2024, Paradox thinks that additional time will yield a better gaming experience for players.

Back in the early part of this year, I, as a member of the team at Paradox, reiterated our dedication to providing top-notch gaming experiences for you, our players. This commitment is what’s driving the decision we’ve made to delay the release. While the game is currently shaping up quite nicely and we could have stuck to our original schedule, my colleagues at Paradox and The Chinese Room felt it was more important to focus on making the game shine even brighter. This extra time allows us to fine-tune certain aspects, like Fabien, and consider feedback from our wonderful community.

It’s no shock that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed again, given that its original release date was back in 2020 and it has faced numerous postponements since then. Fans of the game have grown accustomed to seeing its launch get pushed back, but there’s good news: this appears to be the final delay as The Chinese Room is now in the final stages of development.

As soon as Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 becomes available for purchase, players can enjoy it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. For updates and insights into the game’s development, feel free to watch the video provided in this post.
