As a devoted fan of Vanessa Lachey and her family’s adventures, I must say that their 2017 was nothing short of magical! From meeting Mickey Mouse backstage at Disney on Ice to dressing up as characters from Frozen for Halloween, it seems like they’ve been living in a fairytale.

As Nick Lachey and I, your devoted fan, prepare to uproot our family – Camden (11), Brooklyn (9), and Phoenix (7) – from the enchanting paradise of Hawaii after the termination of Vanessa’s show NCIS: Hawai’i, she graciously takes a pause to express how profoundly meaningful this place has been for her little ones.
In her Aug. 13 Instagram Story, Vanessa shared a picture of a pink plumeria on a wooden table and commented, “My son exclaimed, ‘Wow Mom, that conveys so much with minimal details!'”
When she inquired about his thoughts, he replied, “We’re traveling, yet we’re not sorrowful. To me, joy and warmth represented by ‘Aloha’ are joining us on our journey.”
Vanessa was incredibly moved by his response, sharing a sobbing emoji and adding, “forever with us!!!”
43-year-old Jane Tennant, who portrayed the team leader character on NCIS: Hawai’i since 2021, posted a heartfelt goodbye message to Hawaii on her Instagram account on August 13, signaling her emotional departure from the islands.
Vanessa expressed, along with pictures of her family by the sea, “‘Till We Meet Again’, Home is where one holds their heart. Hawaii, forever a piece of mine! Thank you immensely for the three remarkable, enchanting years you shared with my loved ones!”

Ever since the announcement of the show’s cancellation in April, Vanessa has openly expressed her disappointment. Initially, she voiced her feelings on Instagram Stories, stating that she felt both saddened and bewildered, as well as taken aback by the news at the time.
As she pondered over the three seasons she had spent working on the series, she sought solace on the island to help her comprehend why it was cancelled.
She posted on Instagram on May 1st, expressing that we’re only temporary in this world, using a metaphor of borrowed time. She went on to say that we should value and care for what we’ve been given, improving it before passing it along to the next person who dreams of it.
She went on to express her hope that her team and actors would always cherish the beauty we shared, adding, “May we carry this spirit of Aloha with us wherever our journey takes us.”
Vanessa, born in the Philippines and a global traveler due to her father’s service in the U.S. Air Force, expressed to TopMob News in April that being chosen as the first female lead for the NCIS series was something she “never imagined possible but now recognizes as my ultimate aspiration.”

In the year 2024, Vanessa and Nick Lachey celebrated New Year’s Eve with their trio of children, Camden, Brooklyn, and Phoenix, at Disneyland.
Vanessa wished everyone a Happy New Year from the happiest place on Earth, celebrating our first joint New Year’s Eve. Laughably, all five of us – the kids and their parents – managed to make it until midnight!
2023 marked the occasion of Phoenix turning seven, and the family commemorated it by carrying forward their tradition of building a gingerbread house. Vanessa posted on Instagram, “And here’s our Little Lachey, now 7 years old! Our miraculous child whom we cherish deeply. He completes us, filling in the missing piece, making our family feel whole… and adding that perfect touch!”
“So very thankful,” their mom wrote. “our world.”
2024 found me celebrating my little one turning nine at the beach, a year that seemed to fly by as if it were just yesterday we were welcoming her into our world. “One to nine in a heartbeat,” I exclaimed, expressing my joy and love. Here’s to our cherished daughter, happy birthday!
Vanessa took her children to the show “Disney on Ice,” and amazingly, she had a chance to meet Mickey Mouse behind the scenes. What a fortunate pair!
Previously, the host of Total Request Live went all out for Halloween by creating amazing family costumes inspired by an animated Disney film.
