Venom 3: Release date, cast, latest news

As a seasoned cinephile with a soft spot for superhero films and an affinity for the unconventional, I find myself intrigued by the announcement of Venom: The Last Dance. While not everyone’s cup of tea, the Venom franchise has managed to carve out its niche in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks in large part to Tom Hardy’s riveting performance as both Eddie Brock and Venom.

Although Sony’s Spider-Man Universe hasn’t received the best critical reception, as demonstrated by the reaction to Madame Web this year, the Venom series featuring Tom Hardy has managed to garner a substantial fanbase, even with less than favorable reviews.

Now, Hardy will once again take on the roles of Eddie Brock and Venom in “Venom: The Last Dance,” a film that, as its title indicates, is being marketed as the final chapter in the story that began with the 2018 original and continued with the 2021 sequel “Let There Be Carnage.

These movies have consistently featured stellar ensembles, and this latest installment welcomes Tom Hardy alongside Juno Temple from Ted Lasso, Chiwetel Ejiofor known for his work in Doctor Strange, Rhys Ifans fresh from House of the Dragon, and the reprisal of Stephen Graham.

Like before, both Hardy and director Kelly Marcel share a story credit. Therefore, it’s likely that the movie will carry the distinctive mark of Hardy’s influence.

He shared with Digital Spy: “Typically, such events occur in sets of three. If another one is to arise – and their occurrence greatly relies on the success of each separate instance, making a repetition uncertain – then each occurrence should be treated as if it’s the final one.

However, consider this: If you approach a situation assuming that one, two, and three are identical – the same narrative, the same movie – you might find yourself taken aback when you’re unexpectedly required to tackle the third part without any prior notice.

As a movie fanatic, I exclaimed: “There should definitely be consistency for parts three, four, and five, but if someone objects, that’s alright. We can always shift our focus onto another fascinating project instead.

Simultaneously, Rhys Ifans from House of the Dragon takes on the role of Martin, a character with an interest in extraterrestrials, whom Eddie and Venom encounter during their journey. Additionally, Andy Serkis, known for his direction in the previous installment, steps into the part where he lends his voice to Knull, the being responsible for creating the symbiotes.

In addition, some familiar characters make an appearance, such as Stephen Graham’s Patrick Mulligan and Michelle Williams, who gets her moment to excel in the role of She-Venom. Although she had a small part in “Let There Be Carnage,” she previously expressed her desire to delve deeper into Anne Weying’s alternate persona – the equally chaotic version of Venom – when the original movie debuted.

In the upcoming comeback, Stephen Graham’s character Patrick Mulligan and Peggy Lu’s Mrs. Chen are highly anticipated. However, it seems that there won’t be a role for Michelle Williams, who previously played Anne, Venom’s former fiancée, this time around.
