Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone, and I’m pretty sure I know which weapon EVERYONE will be putting in their loadouts

In a thrilling turn of events, Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty once more, and in anticipation, an iconic weapon from days gone by has also resurfaced. The Kilo 141, which was last seen in Modern Warfare (2019), has made its comeback, and it’s accompanied by the classic Warzone map.

For all players, whether you’re engaged in Warzone or Black Ops 6, the Kilo 141 was made available prior to Verdansk. To acquire it, all that was needed was a click on the Warzone tab within Call of Duty HQ, and it would be yours instantly.

With the 2XP event, elevating it to its maximum level prior to venturing into the revamped Battle Royale map has proven quite effortless. It’s highly likely that this weapon will be the one widely used in Verdansk, at least for the immediate future, by most players.

Variety be damned.

The Kilo 141 is built for Warzone

To clarify, I’m not implying that the Kilo 141 is subpar; on the contrary, it’s an excellent weapon with a wide range of uses and enjoyable to handle. However, I’m not particularly fond of the repetitive “meta” in Warzone where many players opt for the same weapon over and over again.

I’m not a fan of the loadout system in Warzone at all, to be frank. But that’s for another day.

In the case of Warzone, the Kilo 141 seems to meet all the requirements for the current style of gameplay. It excels in both close-up and distant engagements, but what stands out the most is its 100-round capacity magazine.

For two seasons now, I’ve been primarily using the Cypher, and I must say, I still find it more appealing than the Kilo 141. However, it lacks a 100-round magazine extension, which is beneficial since if it had one, it would become virtually indestructible.

However, just like in Warzone, people often prefer attaching large extended magazines for long-range combat. If you aim to keep up, you might find yourself following suit, leading to a scenario where most players are utilizing the same equipment.

I think the Kilo 141 is going to end up like the Season 1 XM4 meta

With adjustments in weapon balance and the addition of weapons such as the Cypher, the excessive use of the 100-round XM4 in Warzone was effectively controlled. However, it seems we might be treading a similar path once more.

The Kilo 141 offers all the features of the XM4, including carrying 100 rounds, delivering powerful and swift shots, and boasting minimal recoil. Even though I’m not a professional Call of Duty player, I’ve been scoring plenty of hits with the Kilo 141 over the last 24 hours, and I must say its recoil is very well controlled.

With a 2x magnification, I believe this weapon has a strong potential to emerge as a fresh top-tier choice in Warzone. However, there’s always room for error, and I genuinely hope I am mistaken. But for now, I don’t feel that I am. And let’s not underestimate the influence of nostalgia; it can be quite a potent force indeed.

The Kilo 141 exhibits a bonus feature: when equipped with the Short Barrel and no stock, it performs remarkably similarly to a Submachine Gun in close quarters. While it doesn’t perfectly replicate an SMG, it does a commendable job.

For now, Warzone’s Ranked Play isn’t returning soon, meaning we may witness diverse weapon selections. However, players will also be working on perfecting their Ranked Play loadouts, and I believe the Kilo 141 will play a significant role in this. Despite finding it dull, I can’t deny its potential impact.
