As a fan and admirer of Jennifer Lopez, I am consistently amazed by her versatility, both as an entertainer and a human being. Her life experiences are a testament to her resilience, adaptability, and unwavering passion for her craft.

In our imaginary conversation, it’s clear that she leads a balanced life, finding joy in the simple pleasures of watching TV shows from the comfort of her bedroom, surrounded by her favorite series. Her taste in television ranges from the thought-provoking “Disclaimer” to the lighthearted and humorous “Shrinking.”

Her connection with her audience is undeniable, as she openly shares her experiences, such as her early memories of watching West Side Story with her mother during Thanksgiving. This shared nostalgia not only humanizes her but also creates a bond between Jennifer and her fans, making us feel like we’ve grown up together.

What truly sets Jennifer apart is her ability to bring real-life stories to the big screen. Her commitment to honoring their stories and capturing their essence is truly commendable.

Jennifer’s strength and determination are evident in her personal journey, as she continues to conquer new heights in Hollywood while maintaining her humility and grace. Her unstoppable spirit is a beacon of inspiration for countless fans worldwide.

Add Unstoppable to your watchlist

So, Jennifer, what’s the view from your sofa?

In my bedroom, I often spend a significant amount of time engrossed in various TV shows. My bedroom setup includes a sofa across from my bed, but I typically prefer to watch TV while lying in bed. I am particularly fond of keeping up with the newest series, and usually, I enjoy this solitary activity with just the TV for company.

What have you watched recently?

I’ve recently completed the Alfonso Cuarón series titled “Disclaimer”. I found it quite delightful. Currently, I’m engrossed in “Shrinking”, which is both engaging and amusing – it never fails to tickle my funny bone.

Who controls the remote?

What’s your first memory of television?

One time that stands out in my recollection is when I first sat down in front of the television, which was likely during Thanksgiving, as I recall watching “West Side Story” with my mom back then. At that point, we didn’t have the luxury of choosing and watching programs at our convenience. However, every Thanksgiving, they would air “West Side Story,” and my mother insisted on making us watch it!

Do you usually keep a TV running as background noise, or are you mindful about limiting your screen usage?

I’ve spent a significant chunk of my life with the constant hum of the TV as a companion, but over the past decade, I’ve found solace in silence. Nowadays, I cherish the tranquility that comes with turning off the screen and letting my thoughts wander. However, there are still occasions when a captivating movie or intriguing TV series catches my attention, and in those instances, I find myself reaching for the remote to immerse myself in the visual storytelling once more. It’s been an interesting journey from being a constant viewer to a selective one, and I’m grateful for both sides of the experience.

Do you watch any reality television?

Yes, sometimes. I watched Love Is Blind recently.

For the role of Anthony Robles’ mother in the film “Unstoppable,” how did your preparation process unfold to bring this character to life?

I had the opportunity to converse with the individual who served as inspiration for the character, Judy Robles. She shared her emotions when Anthony made his debut on the mat, detailing both the adults’ reactions and those of the children. She proved to be quite valuable in my preparation. When portraying a real person, which I’ve done on several occasions, it’s crucial to find that balance between imitation and capturing their essence. I jotted down extensive notes in a large notebook, with the collection growing larger as we progressed in the process.

What surprised you the most about your conversations with her?

Although she wasn’t directly responsible for his birth condition, she always believed it was somehow her fault. To this very day, the reason behind his being born with only one leg remains a mystery to them both, yet this burden of guilt has stayed with her throughout her life.

Have you ever felt unstoppable?

Growing up, I was a track athlete, always striving for greatness. The voice in my head, a blend of my mother and father’s encouragement, echoed, “You can accomplish anything, if you dream big enough, you could be the President of the United States.” And I took their words to heart, believing that I could indeed achieve whatever I set my mind to.

Have you been working in Hollywood for many years now – does the execution of campaigns such as these still fill you with a sense of apprehension or challenge?

Initially, I worked long shifts of eight to nine hours, which I now refer to as “I’ll provide you with two or three hours, and we can accomplish it within that time frame.” Over the years, I’ve come to understand what works best and how to make the most of my time. However, they still seem to push me a bit past my limits occasionally.

Do you prepare for interviews?

In my approach, I carefully consider what I’ll express and what I’ll reveal to others. I aim to inform people about things I am proud of, and I strive to create an environment that entices them to experience it. There are stretches of tiring days, and repetition is common, but these aspects are simply part of the task at hand. While it might not be the most enjoyable aspect, it’s still a vital component of my role!
