As a seasoned gamer with decades of combat under my belt, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia upon hearing the news about Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Coming from someone who’s had more than one controller thrown across the room due to the frustration and exhilaration this series has brought me, I can confidently say that this revival is a breath of fresh air.
Sega has made it known that they are developing a new installment for the popular “Virtua Fighter” series, although we haven’t seen it yet, they continue to maintain interest in the franchise by occasionally re-releasing games. The next title on the list is “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.”, a fresh version of the fighting game that’s slated for release on PC.
2021 sees the release of an enhanced version of R.E.V.O., originally from Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, on PC. This revamped version will boast high-definition 4K graphics and a smooth 60 frames per second gameplay experience. Moreover, it will offer rollback netcode for those eager to engage in its intense competitive modes. You can watch the announcement trailer here.
Remarkably, the PC version of the game is set to launch alongside a Version 2.0 balance adjustment for the original PS4 title from Sega. While they haven’t disclosed the specific changes, this update is significant as it marks the first rebalancing in over a decade for the game. Whatever improvements are planned, they promise an exciting addition to the gaming experience.
Information about the release date for “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.” is still unknown, however, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam if you’re interested.
