Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Announced for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S

Following its release on PC in January, the game “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.” is set to be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. This announcement was made during the recent “Virtua Fighter” Direct, along with a new trailer release. You can watch it below.

As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that during the Direct event, the legendary producer of Virtua Fighter, Seiji Aoki, confirmed cross-play functionality and rollback netcode across all platforms. He also hinted at “even more content” to make this more than just a simple port, with additional details promised in future updates. Unfortunately, a specific release date or window wasn’t provided.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can tell you that “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.” is essentially an updated version of “Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown,” which debuted on PlayStation 4 in 2021. This new version boasts stunning 4K graphics and advanced rollback netcode, but it’s drawn some flak for leaving out the popular Quest Mode. When it comes to customizing your characters, options are somewhat restricted, with many features only available in the 30th Anniversary Edition.

As an excited fan, I can’t help but share that the upcoming content might be coming our way as either a free or paid update for PC gamers like us! Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
