Vote Now: Which BAFTA Moment Will Capture Your Heart?

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that this year’s Memorable Moment Award nominations at the BAFTA Television Awards 2025 have been unveiled by our generous sponsor P&O Cruises! The list includes some truly captivating scenes from Gavin & Stacey and The Traitors, moments I can hardly wait to see on the big night!

At the BAFTAs, the public gets to decide on a single award, and they have six potential winning moments from 2024 spread across various television programs and categories for viewers to pick their favorite.

The list encompasses:
1. A scene from Bridgerton season 3 where Colin confesses his genuine feelings for Penelope during a carriage ride.
2. A scene from the Gavin & Stacey finale, in which Smithy seeks Mick’s advice on whether to propose to Sonia.
3. The scene where subpostmaster Jo Hamilton discovers that the amount she owes to The Post Office has unexpectedly doubled in Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement over some of the contenders for the top spot. Among them is the daring moment from “Rivals” where Rupert Campbell Black and Sarah Stratton were seen playing tennis sans clothes. The heartwarming rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Chris McCausland on “Strictly Come Dancing” also stands out. Last but not least, the shocking revelation in season 2 of “The Traitors,” where Diane disclosed that Paul wasn’t her son, but rather Ross was, leaves a lasting impression. Each of these moments has left an indelible mark on me and many others.

The opportunity for public voting begins at 8am on Wednesday, March 12th, and concludes at 11:59pm on Friday, April 25th. You can cast your vote conveniently online through the website: http://www.bafta.org/moment.

The announcement of the winner will take place during the BAFTA Television Awards, in partnership with P&O Cruises, airing live on BBC One and available for streaming on iPlayer on Sunday, 11th May 2025.

Regarding this year’s selection, Paul Ludlow, president of Carnival UK & P&O Cruises, stated: “The year 2024 was exceptional in television. The nominees feature moments that evoked laughter, tears, amazement, and introduced characters we have come to adore.

TV holds a unique ability to teach, enlighten, and spark meaningful discussions – and it does so exceptionally well. I eagerly anticipate May, as it’s the time we recognize and applaud the award recipients and everyone who was nominated.

As a film enthusiast, I’ve gotta say, the lineup Hilary Rosen, Chair of BAFTA’s Television Committee, mentioned was nothing short of captivating. It’s packed with moments that warmed our hearts, left us in suspense, and had everyone buzzing. This list showcases the incredible power of television to not just entertain but also leave a lasting impression on us all.

I’m curious to discover which of these six instances will strike a chord with the general public the strongest, and which discussions they might spark further.
