Walking Dead Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reveals Shocking Reunion in Invincible Season 3!

The third installment of the unbeatable series “Invincible” is gearing up for its climactic ending, and the newcomer star of the latest story arc, Conquest, has shared insights about a small reunion reminiscent of “The Walking Dead” that’s taken place in the animated show. The third season of “Invincible” has been particularly grueling for protagonist Mark Grayson, following his battle with Angstrom Levy at the close of the previous season, he’s faced more turmoil than ever before. As the third season draws to a close, Mark now faces one last adversary who threatens to undo everything he’s struggled to achieve.

In Episode 7 of Season 3 for the show “Invincible”, Angstrom Levy called upon a horde of Marks from various dimensions to wreak havoc on Earth and tarnish Mark’s reputation among the public. Determined to defeat his most relentless adversary, Mark pulled out all the stops. However, while Earth struggles to heal from the destruction, a new Viltrumite named Conquest has arrived with intentions of conquering our planet. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for his role in “The Walking Dead”, lends his voice to this animated series and shares a mini-reunion with Steven Yeun.

The Walking Dead’s Negan Joins Invincible as Conquest

In a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Robert Kirkman mentioned that he’s long envisioned Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the voice of Conquest in ‘Invincible’, stating “I’ve likely thought of him since the show first started… .” He elaborated that Conquest requires a great deal of subtlety, as there’s a rich personality hidden beneath the giant, powerful brute who causes destruction. Kirkman believes Morgan has the ability to bring this depth to the character. As for Morgan, he shared that portraying the role is incredibly demanding.

Morgan expressed that there’s something challenging about being in a recording booth and attempting to annihilate the world, he said. Additionally, he shared his joy about reuniting with Walking Dead co-star Yeun, jokingly adding that it was a great opportunity for Yeun to redeem himself. However, Morgan also mentioned that he’s conscious of the distinct image he wants to create for Conquest compared to his portrayal of The Walking Dead’s Negan. To avoid slipping into Negan mode after so many years, he emphasized the importance of voice inflection.

What’s Next for Conquest?

As I watch the conclusion of “Invincible” Season 3, Kirkman hints at the grim state of Mark’s situation: “By the end of episode 307, Mark is at the lowest point he’s ever been,” Kirkman explained. “He’s witnessed other versions of himself destroy entire planets. Everyone seems to be against him. He’s involved in the reconstruction efforts, but the guilt he feels is more overwhelming than it has ever been in his life.

Here comes Conquest, a man with an aura of escalating chaos. He’s found himself in quite the predicament, cornered by circumstances. The world is already crumbling around Mark, and Cecil has aptly dubbed him ‘Mr. 10 Times Worse.’ We’ve been foreshadowing his arrival since season 2, with Anissa’s warning that he was on his way, and now he’s finally here. Things are only going to deteriorate further from this point.

With the arrival of conquest now upon us, fans can finally delve deeper into the true nature of this villain in the final chapters of “Invincible” Season 3.
