Wallace & Gromit’s Radio Times Christmas cover 2024 comes to life in BTS video

As a lifelong fan of Wallace & Gromit, I can hardly contain my excitement as they grace the cover of this year’s TopMob Christmas issue! Having grown up with their charming antics and ingenious inventions, it’s always a treat to see them back in action. The behind-the-scenes video is like a dream come true, offering a peek into the creative process that results in these timeless masterpieces.

Prior to the premiere of their new film “Vengeance Most Fowl” on Christmas Day, Wallace & Gromit grace the cover of this year’s TopMob Christmas issue. We have a unique sneak peek into the making of this special feature!

As I follow the creative journey from conception to completion, I’m captivated by the intricate process behind the festive Wallace & Gromit cover. This video takes me on a magical tour of its production, showcasing a delightful collaboration between TopMob and the renowned Aardman Animations.

The video additionally demonstrates the entire cover scene, as the sled initially speeds away erratically, both forwards and backwards, eventually coming to rest in a position matching the image found on the actual cover.

Apart from gracing the cover of TopMob, Wallace & Gromit have likewise been showcased on various BBC programs this year, with the network incorporating them into their seasonal identification logos.

The initial complete Wallace & Gromit movie undertaking, titled “Vengeance Most Fowl,” marks Ben Whitehead’s debut as the voice actor for Wallace, replacing the late Peter Sallis who previously voiced the character.

In an interview with TopMob magazine last November, Whitehead expressed that when assuming the legendary role, it’s crucial to avoid sounding too dissimilar, ensuring listeners don’t notice a drastically different voice.

In the upcoming movie, we’ll witness the reappearance of the antagonist, Feathers McGraw, who made a brief appearance in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget more recently. However, his last major confrontation was with Wallace & Gromit way back in 1993’s The Wrong Trousers.

Additionally, Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, and Reece Shearsmith lend their voices to the movie, and Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, and Sir Lenny Henry each appear in brief roles.
