For Walton Goggins, returning to Thailand came with a host of painful memories.
The setting for “The White Lotus” season three is a country that the actor visited following the death by suicide of his first wife, Leanne Knight, in 2004, after she went missing.
Walton stated during an interview with GQ, first published on February 4th, that the story was extremely complex. In time, the truth behind her decision came to light. Frankly, I found it nearly impossible to move past that point in my life.
He added, “Over the following three years, I was searching for a reason – not necessarily to break up, but undeniably placing myself in debatable circumstances, avoiding nothing harmful like drugs, rather indulging in diverse life experiences and extensive travel across the globe.
During that period, Walton, who has a 13-year-old son named Augustus with his wife Nadia Conners, also visited Vietnam, Cambodia, and India in addition to Thailand, which was his initial destination.
Upon coming back to Thailand to work on the HBO series, the former star of Justified felt an eerie familiarity as they discovered several filming spots were places they had visited twenty years ago during their quest for life’s purpose.
Walton recalled, “The initial island where we resided brought a familiar feeling – ‘I’ve traveled this path before.’ And then, upon reaching the next island, I had an even stronger realization – ‘I’ve undoubtedly visited this shoreline before. This boardwalk looks so familiar.’ More and more memories started flooding back.
Reflecting on my last night of shooting in Bangkok for Django Unchained, it struck me with a poignant sense of nostalgia that the dock and hotel we used as our set were exactly where I stood, 20 years ago to the day. Back then, I was a young man filled with so much pain and uncertainty.
It was a full-circle moment for the actor, as he looked back at how far he’d come.
He acknowledged that he hadn’t thoroughly understood the coincidence of those two individuals appearing in the same location after a gap of twenty years. Adding to the complexity were factors like their family lives, personal growth, and overall tranquility.
Walton added, “I found myself thinking, ‘If only I could embrace him. If only I could whisper words of encouragement, ‘You’ll get through this. Life goes on, and it does so for all of us if we can just persevere, lean into the journey, stay on your path, and keep seeking solutions.’

On the TV show “The White Lotus,” Jason Isaacs’ character Timothy Ratliff is wed to Parker Posey’s Victoria Ratliff. Interestingly, in real life, his wife is Emma Hewitt.
In 2020, he expressed in The Big Issue that without her, there is no version of him that he recognizes or desires to know.
In the ’80s, Jason encountered a previous documentary filmmaker at the University of London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. At that time, his life was entangled in a long-term romance with drugs, which he eventually overcame in 1998 when he achieved sobriety.
After I’d cleaned up my act, my wife expressed her joy by saying, ‘Now, at last, we can purchase a house and start a family.’ Jason continued, ‘But darling, I’ve only recently met you. What are you talking about?’ She replied, ‘We’ve been together for a decade!’ I acknowledged, ‘Yes, I know, and I apologize, but it feels like I’ve just come to life again, and we need to reconnect and get to know each other better.’
Later on, when he inquired, “Why she’d choose someone who seemed crazy throughout,” he added, she responded, “She appreciated the real me, and the potential of who I truly could become.
The couple wed in 2001 and welcomed daughters Lily and Ruby.
Jason shared with The Guardian in 2008 that she made the choice to leave behind her thriving career, travel with me to remote destinations, and essentially live as a spectator without much purpose. She didn’t fully integrate into our group, but this was all part of her plan to conceive. It took some time, and we resorted to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), which was successful for us on two occasions.
Fans have noticed that Patrick Schwarzenegger has been a prominent figure on The White Lotus, but it’s Abby Champion he’s been opening up his heart to for the past ten years.
Abby reminisced about 2015, nine years since her chance encounter with Patrick, who portrays Ratliff’s son Saxon on HBO’s series. They met through a mutual acquaintance whom Abby was dating and who happened to be a friend of Patrick’s. We owe him a debt of gratitude for bringing us together, as it eventually led to our engagement,” said Abby to The Daily Front Row.
Though they haven’t tied the knot just yet, Patrick popped the question on a beach in December 2023 and shared their wedding plans with GQ last September, aiming for a 2025 ceremony.
The eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver shared that his role is simply to ensure her happiness, supporting whatever she desires. He offers advice when needed but primarily focuses on making each day the best for her. For now, they are content with their dynamic as each other’s top supporters. In an Instagram tribute for Abby’s birthday, Patrick expressed pride in her and admiration for her dedication to family, friends, faith, and work, looking forward to where life takes them together.
How did Sam Nivola and Iris Apatow come to know each other? Contrary to what he humorously suggested to British Vogue about being part of a secret club of “nepo kids,” it wasn’t through their influential parents—Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Mann, and Judd Apatow. Instead, it was a mutual friend named Isa Barrett who brought them together at a bar in London.
In February, as Sam (who plays Lochlan on The White Lotus) shared with Teen Vogue, he attempted to pursue Iris (from The Bubble), but she was in a relationship at the time and wasn’t interested.
After Iris ended her relationship, Sam decided to try their connection again. They went public with their relationship on Instagram in the spring of 2024 and have since chosen to live together. Speaking about his feelings for Iris, Sam told Teen Vogue, “I’m so in love, and she’s so amazing. I think the thing about moving in with someone at our age is that you might worry it would become routine after a while. But I don’t think that would ever happen with her because we’re so deeply in love.
Leslie Bibb’s romantic journey with Sam Rockwell didn’t begin at the White Lotus in Thailand, but rather in the lobby of Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. To quote the actress, who portrays Kate (one of three friends on a girls’ trip), she recollected their 2007 encounter on The Rosie Show: “I was about to dine with some friends when someone waved at me from behind.” She turned and there he was – Sam. They had been staying there as he was working on Frost/Nixon.
The attraction between them was immediate. As she put it, “He smiled at me, and I thought, ‘Oh no, what’s that?’ Sometimes you just get struck.” Leslie and Sam went out on their first date about a week later. Despite her initial attempts to downplay any interest in a serious relationship with the Academy Award winner, her feelings eventually became impossible to conceal.
“I was like, ‘I’m really not into anything,'” she continued, “and then I think three weeks later, I was like, ‘I love you so much.'” Today, this unmarried couple is still going strong. On their anniversary (October 2023), Leslie shared a throwback photo of them on Instagram with the caption, “Sweet sixteen Sammy… was this from the first year, maybe the second, who knows we were babies and all the time is flying by and blurring into one helluva a ride with you…I feel very lucky to get to love this human and even luckier to be loved by him.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but admire Michelle Monaghan’s heartwarming bond with her husband, Pete White. Unlike Jaclyn Lemon from The White Lotus who chatters about her friends, Michelle only has kind words for her husband.
Reminding me of a scene straight out of Mission: Impossible III, I recall the time when Michelle got married to Pete in 2005 and jumped right into filming a steamy scene with Tom Cruise. With nerves on end, I remember coming home after work and sharing my apprehensions with my husband. To my surprise, he reassured me, “Don’t worry, you’ll follow his lead. You’ll have a great time. It’s going to be wonderful.”
After the scene went smoothly, Pete was overjoyed and exclaimed, “How cool is it that you were making out with Tom Cruise on our honeymoon?” Because we’re just such fans!
As Michelle rightly pointed out, this demonstrates the exceptional supportiveness of the man she married. Together, they tackle life’s challenges, like raising their children Willow and Tommy, hand in hand.
Every week, as Michelle shared with Lifeminute in 2017, she and Pete have a heart-to-heart discussion on Sundays. They ask each other about their priorities for the upcoming week, offering support to help one another achieve personal goals or simply take time for themselves. That’s the testament of a strong partnership!
Even though Carrie Coon’s character Laurie travels to Thailand with friends Kate and Jaclyn in The White Lotus, her real-life best friend is her husband Tracy Letts. They met while working on Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 2010, with Tracy winning a Tony Award for his role as George and Carrie earning a nomination for her portrayal of Honey. Three years later, they got married in an unconventional way due to an emergency gallbladder surgery on the wedding day. As Tracy shared with Vanity Fair in 2013, their intimate ceremony was held in a hospital chapel by a Lutheran chaplain who had never performed a wedding before. In 2018, they became parents to son Haskell, and three years later, a daughter was born, whose name has not been disclosed publicly. Despite rumors suggesting an open marriage, Carrie clarified the speculation in February 2023 by stating, “Settle down, internet! I said ‘open-minded’ not ‘open.’
Walton Goggins found his wife, Nadia Conners, through the introduction by a mutual friend. In an interview on The View, he shared that this friend had overheard the director discussing with others at a Los Angeles restaurant in 2005 and encouraged her to meet Walton at dinner the next day.
Walton was hosting the dinner to raise funds for a film project, and initially mistook Nadia as one of his business associates. The two ended up sitting together, and despite Walton’s intentions to speak with others, he was captivated by Nadia’s curiosity about him.
“She turned her back against everyone at the table and asked me to tell her about myself,” Walton recalled. “I said I was trying to raise money for this movie, but she wanted to know more about me.”
Throughout the dinner, the couple shared their stories with each other. Walton admitted that he didn’t speak to anyone else as planned and instead focused on getting to know Nadia. By the end of the night, she asked him to take her home, and when he did, she requested that he ask for her number.
Walton and Nadia welcomed their son, Augustus, in 2011 and got married later that year (he was previously married to Leanne Goggins). In a February Instagram post, the TV star expressed his love for his family: “I love you both beyond measure. More than I could hope for and certainly more than I deserve.” The actor plays Rick Hatchett opposite Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea on The White Lotus.
Apologies, Gaitok! Although it seems that Tayme Thapthimthong‘s character on The White Lotus has feelings for Lisa‘s Mook, the Blackpink member appears to be in a relationship with French businessman Frédéric Arnault.
Despite neither confirming their romance, they’ve fueled dating rumors for quite some time. In November 2022, Frédéric shared images of himself at a Blackpink concert, and ever since, it has been noticed that they have spent time together and traveled together. While he has attended several of her performances and premieres, she was present at the 2024 TAG Heuer Formula 1 Kith Launch Celebration.
Moreover, in her song “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me),” Lisa references a “green-eyed French boy who’s been making me lose my mind.
Arnas Fedaravicius’ character Valentin might be single in the storyline, but in real life, he seems to have a connection with Emeraude Toubia.
More than a year after her divorce from Prince Royce was announced in March 2022, the actress from Shadowhunters and White Lotus appeared to confirm their relationship on Instagram in 2023.
While they’ve mostly kept their romance under wraps, the occasional social media post and a trip to Thailand for filming have hinted at something more between them. In January, Emeraude posted on Instagram, “From one amazing moment to the next! So proud of you, @arnasfederman! Thank you for bringing me along on this unforgettable ride.
After you’ve checked into the White Lotus, Pam is likely to ask for your phone.
However, the actress who portrays her, Morgana O’Reilly, isn’t hesitant about using her own device to post a charming picture with her husband, Peter Salmon, on social media.
Although they both attended Unitec in New Zealand, the couple actually crossed paths for the first time in New York City. In an interview for their alma mater’s website in 2022, Morgana shared that it was quite serendipitous as they fell in love in NYC, worked in the same industry, and had numerous mutual friends, yet had never really encountered each other despite their similarities.
They later got married and became parents to Luna and Ziggy. But their family life isn’t their only joint venture. In 2020, Morgana and her husband, the director, released the series “Inside.” Recently, they transformed her stage show “Stories About My Body” into a film.
As Morgana posted on Instagram in August, “Me and this guy just made a movie about our love story and the birth of our children (and other tales),” she said. “His talent never ceases to amaze me, Mr. Salmon. The creation of this art baby has left me in awe of you all over again.
On-screen, Jon Gries’ character Greg Hunt (known as Gary in season three) was married to Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid until her character’s demise in season two (Rest in Peace). However, off-camera, the actor has very recently gotten married.
In a March 4 video for Harper’s Bazaar, Jon announced that his fiancée, whose name he did not disclose, is now his wife as of Friday. It seems like one of the last things he looked up online might have been directions to their courthouse ceremony.
Perhaps it would be wise to avoid honeymooning at The White Lotus resort.
