In the most recent War Thunder upgrade, the team has addressed bugs and included exciting novelties to enhance gameplay significantly. They’ve tackled problems and incorporated useful tools for your convenience. Here’s a brief overview of the new features and improvements:
This version aims to provide a better gaming experience with its bug fixes and fresh additions.
Fixes After the Major Update
The significant overhaul encountered a few hiccups. Our team has been diligently working on rectifying bugs related to the War Thunder update and enhancing gameplay features. Some aircraft experienced issues with mobility on runways. There were inconsistencies in how damage from missiles and shells was calculated. Missiles occasionally lost their targets at random. The vehicles moved unevenly across the terrain, and certain maps encountered collision difficulties.
The team managed to resolve all the issues that had arisen, including one particularly challenging bug that impacted the accuracy of missile damage in online combat. This bug was due to incorrect explosion placement, which they spent close to a week locating and rectifying. I appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this process.
New Weapon Selector Pinning
With a recent update to War Thunder, an enhancement has been introduced that allows players to fix the weapons selection in air combat permanently. By keeping the Alt key pressed and using the mouse cursor to click, players can now swiftly choose between missiles, bombs, or countermeasures. The pinned selector displays the remaining countermeasures clearly, thereby facilitating faster and more convenient targeting.
Improved Radar Target Filtering
In the latest War Thunder update, you’ll find an enhancement in the Radar Control Screen – a new target filtering system. This allows players to sift through air targets based on three categories: all targets, enemies exclusively, or allies specifically. This proves helpful during busy skies as more filters are expected to be added later.
Better TV Seeker Missiles
In an updated version of War Thunder, missiles now provide sharper, higher-definition images through their TV guidance systems. This improvement not only addresses bugs but also offers players enhanced target identification capabilities. The symbols representing targets will adapt depending on what the player locks onto; for vehicles, it’s a crosshair, and for ground points, it’s a square.
Other Fixes and Improvements
The update also fixes these issues:
- Multi-Vehicle SAM launchers now spawn correctly in arches and tunnels.
- Launcher destruction no longer reduces respawn counts.
- Battleship hulls take less damage from high-explosive shells.
