Warframe: 1999 Demo is Live (and Painfully Short)

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of game expansions and updates. The latest teaser for Warframe: 1999 by Digital Extremes has certainly piqued my interest. Being a long-time Warframe player myself, the prospect of a new storyline set in 1999 is nothing short of intriguing.

Digital Extremes’ upcoming significant narrative expansion for Warframe, titled Warframe: 1999, is set to launch this coming Winter. Although there are many exciting aspects to anticipate, you won’t find too much in the free demo that was recently made available. Players can engage in combat and even take a spin on the stylish Atomicycle, but the experience lasts roughly five minutes.

Because you can only access this content through the game Warframe, it’s a significant hurdle for new players who must download the entire game just to give it a try. The response from dedicated fans has been favorable, but there have been issues with not being able to fire weapons on the Atomicycle. It remains to be seen whether these problems will be resolved when the expansion is released, so keep an eye out for future updates.

1999: Warframe chronicles the journey of Arthur (voiced by Ben Starr), whose mission is to locate Dr. Entrati. Throughout this adventure, he encounters characters like Scaldra and On-Lyne, who are later unveiled as a group resembling an Infested boy band in today’s timeline.
