As a seasoned Warframe gamer with countless hours under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the latest expansion, 1999. The 22-minute gameplay walkthrough Digital Extremes released recently gave us a tantalizing glimpse into what’s to come, and boy, does it look good!
In addition to introducing new gameplay for “Soulframe,” Digital Extremes shared a detailed 22-minute preview of “Warframe: 1999,” the upcoming free story expansion for their popular action RPG, which is set to release in Winter 2024. This expansion centers around The Hexes, a Protoframe group on a mission to track down the elusive Dr Albrecht Entrati. Take a look at the gameplay walkthrough below.
At their headquarters, Arthur Nightingale and his companions conclude their discussion. Shortly after, they hop on some stylish motorcycles to find Entrati. Along the way, they encounter Major Neci Rusalka and engage in a fierce fight against numerous adversaries. Among these foes is an intimidating H-04 Efervon Tank. Ultimately, Arthur comes face-to-face with Excalibur, leading to a thrilling sword duel.
The action shifts back to the Origin System within the Railjack, where the Tenno are exploring a peculiar melody. This discovery eventually brings them face to face with the Technocyte Coda, the source of the On-lyne virus. (Note: In this version, I tried to keep the original meaning but used simpler and more natural phrasing.)
