According to the announcement, Warner Bros. Games will be shutting down the studios responsible for creating “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor” and “Middle-earth: Shadow of War,” namely Monolith Productions, as well as “MultiVersus” developer Player First Games and Warner Bros. This shift in strategy should not be interpreted as a comment on the quality of these teams or the skills they possess; rather, it’s about focusing on new opportunities ahead.

Regrettably, the progress on Monolith’s “Wonder Woman” video game has been halted. Our aim was to provide players and enthusiasts with an exceptional experience featuring this legendary character; however, it no longer aligns with our strategic objectives. Making this choice is difficult, as we acknowledge Monolith’s rich history of creating captivating games that delight fans.
