Warner Bros Reportedly "Shelves" Genndy Tartakovsky's Fixed

As a seasoned gamer and animation enthusiast with a soft spot for offbeat humor, I can’t help but feel a mix of disappointment and intrigue regarding Genndy Tartakovsky’s latest project, “Fixed”. The thought of a raunchy dog adventure, helmed by the mastermind behind Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Laboratory, had me eagerly awaiting its release. Alas, it seems that Warner Bros has decided to give this pup a stay at the pound instead.

As a dedicated gamer and animation enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel at the legendary Genndy Tartakovsky. His work, from Samurai Jack and Primal to Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, has left an indelible mark on the animation world with its deep, thought-provoking narratives.

On previous occasions, Warner Bros has chosen a similar path, notably withholding the release of _Batgirl_. The DC live-action version featured Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon and Brendan Fraser portraying Firefly as the villain. Additionally, Michael Keaton reprised his role as Batman, while J.K. Simmons returned as Commissioner Gordon. Notably, Warner Bros also decided not to release _Scoob! Holiday Haunt_ and _Coyote Vs. Acme_, even though these projects were almost completed.

Fixed: Will It Release?

As a passionate gamer, I’ve got some news about the Tartakovsky animated feature that might not be what we hoped for. Sony Pictures Animation has been working on this project, but unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned and it seems like the movie is stuck in a rut right now. However, here’s the silver lining – there’s still a chance that another studio could step up and become our new distributor to bring this project back to life. But for now, we just have to wait and see if this game-changing move will happen. Fingers crossed!

As a long-time movie enthusiast with a keen interest in both animated films and adult comedies, I must say that if I were to come across “Fixed” for the very first time, I would find myself quite intrigued by its unique premise. Being an animal lover myself, the idea of an anthropomorphic dog character grappling with an impending life-changing event such as neutering resonates with me on a personal level. The humor derived from this situation, while somewhat unconventional, could potentially be quite engaging and entertaining, especially when delivered by a talented cast like Adam DeVine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, and Beck Bennett.

Luckily for me, as a gamer, Tartakovsky’s next big project is in the works at Warner Bros and Adult Swim – the third season of Primal! While I’m excited to see more brutal stories unfold, this time around, it seems like we’ll be saying goodbye to Spear and Fang as the story shifts focus to new, hardcore tales that are synonymous with the franchise. Can’t wait to dive back into the world of Primal!
