With The Oscars creating a global buzz, on behalf of wrestling enthusiasts everywhere, we feel compelled to throw our hat into the ring at the last minute. We hereby propose Toni Storm, an AEW standout, for the award of Best Dramatic Performance of the Year. To support this nomination, we also highlight tonight’s sensational comeback of none other than Timeless Toni Storm. If you’re not convinced, take a look at the video below – I have faith that it will change your perspective!
Recently, fans who have been following Storm’s journey have seen her reemerge in AEW, presenting a fresh persona that kept viewers engaged. Remarkably, this new Storm clinched a title shot against Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship, an event scheduled at Grand Slam. This development is significant given that it was May who deceived Storm earlier, after Storm had mentored her and ultimately defeated her to claim the Championship.
This evening, novice wrestler Storm squared off against May prior to their upcoming Grand Slam match, and May lashed out at Storm, claiming that she was insignificant and that the AEW audience didn’t matter to her either.
When I gaze upon you, I perceive no significance. When I muse over you, I experience no emotion. In the minds of each one of these fans, you hold no weight. You are a jest. You are an internet sensation. They chuckle at you and then move on, just as I had always foreseen. I harbor no affection for you. I never have. You were merely the most uncomplicated piece I employed to control this entire game. If I must reiterate this fact in Australia, so be it, because as triumphant as I feel at present, I will relish humiliating you on your home turf.” May declared.
As a die-hard movie buff, let me recount an electrifying moment from my favorite wrestling match: Then, I unleashed the Championship against Storm, sending her crashing to the mat with a powerful slam before making my exit from the ring. But just when you thought she’d forgotten her old tricks, Storm left everyone spellbound by saying, “You really think I’ve let that slip?” The crowd went wild as she began to channel her Timeless persona once more, but it was the speech that followed that truly took us all to the heavens.
Storm remarked as she discarded her initial Storm outfit, ‘It seems our dance has concluded. Each mark, every trace of blood, I’ll carry with me eternally, yet now it’s my time to shine.’ People often claim that the most challenging act is playing oneself. However, what you’ve just observed was a performance beyond compare!
Mariah May, despite your wicked nature, remember you originated from me, and if necessary, I can return you to my body and expel you forcefully. For I am Toni Storm, an eternal being, and I will tear away your false pride.
The audience and commentators were taken aback, as even May was surprised, having not anticipated Timeless Toni Storm‘s return, particularly after the past month. However, things have now shifted, and Storm is making a comeback to reclaim her Championship title and dish out some long-awaited retribution on her former trainee.
I’d be curious about your thoughts on Toni Storm‘s recent comeback, often referred to as “Timeless.” Feel free to share your wrestling insights with me on Bluesky at @knightofoa!
