Watch: It’s a Tale of Two Hawkeyes in Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye Season 1 4K Collector’s Edition Clip (Exclusive)

As a longtime Marvel enthusiast who has watched every superhero flick since the Iron Man days, I can confidently say that the Hawkeye Collector’s Edition is a must-have addition to any fan’s collection. The behind-the-scenes look into the making of this series, particularly the meticulous crafting of Clint and Kate’s battle styles, has me even more excited for future Marvel projects.

Disney has taken beloved series such as Andor and Moon Knight and given them a special collector’s edition release, and today they are announcing that four more fan favorites will be available in this format. These include Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye – The Complete First Season, Marvel Studios’ Loki – The Complete Second Season, Star Wars: Ahsoka – The Complete First Season, and Star Wars: The Mandalorian – The Complete Third Season. Each set comes with stunning SteelBook artwork by artist Attila Szarka, collectible concept art cards, the option to watch all four in 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision and Atmos audio, and an exclusive clip from the new Hawkeye Collector’s Edition set is available in the video above.

The recently released video clip hails from an exclusive making-of documentary titled “A Tale of Two Hawkeyes.” This insightful piece delves into the creative process behind the series, focusing on how the team carefully crafted each Archer’s distinctive style and skillfully interwove storytelling into every fight scene they shared. In an interview, Executive Producer Trinh Tran discusses their intent to make each scene contribute to a climactic final battle that underscores the progression and transformation of the show’s principal characters.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve been eagerly following the creative process behind the final battle scene, where we’re meticulously crafting a harmonious dynamic between Kate and Clint. Our aim is to portray their newfound trust and unity in a way that truly resonates with viewers.

A significant aspect of our narrative development was focusing on creating a unique style for the new Clint Barton character. This involved portraying her as initially unsure or slow to comprehend, but gradually growing and ultimately participating in an impressive teamwork scene that culminated in a heroic moment at the story’s end, as explained by Stunt Coordinator Heidi Moneymaker.

Moneymaker remarked that while he has a recognizable style, since he’s joining the show as a retired superhero, we aimed to maintain his traditional approach yet inject an element of discomfort, as if every action is painful. He added that he’s still victorious, but it requires more effort now, and he often feels the strain of age.

Jeremy Renner emphasized the importance of style and overall stuntwork in portraying Clint’s specific stage in life accurately. He noted that many of Clint’s traits were influenced by the stunt team, which played a crucial role in storytelling. Rather than engaging in traditional fights, he often found himself taking a beating, falling down, and even hitting the ground frequently, but he was comfortable with this approach.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but marvel at Hailee Steinfeld’s dedication. She fully immersed herself in the process, and it seemed her efforts truly bore fruit. In her own words, “I was thrilled by the physicality this role demanded, and I appreciated that there was no room for complacency – I had to push myself to a level where I could grasp new skills swiftly on set.” She also mentioned that the preparation she put in before leaving LA significantly contributed to her readiness.

Hailee Steps Up Her Game by Investing Herself Completely into Playing the Character. She was determined to master archery, learn stunt moves, and immerse herself fully in understanding Kate Bishop’s persona, distinguishing her from Clint Barton’s Hawkeye character, as Tran explained.
