The Twisters team gleefully threw a party upon hearing that their fellow actor David Corenswet would portray Superman on the silver screen. The Twisters film, released recently, has been a massive success at the box office, outperforming its 1996 precursor, Twister. Earlier this year, David Corenswet made headlines when it was announced by DC Studios and James Gunn that he would don the Superman suit in the upcoming 2023 Superman film. Actor Brandon Perea from the movie “Twisters” posted some backstage clips on social media, one of which captured the cast’s response to David Corenswet‘s announcement as Superman. In the video, you can see Glen Powell and Sasha Lane, among others, jumping excitedly and cheering. Perea is heard shouting, “Brandon, congrats!! That’s our Superman, baby!!” It seems everyone on the set of “Twisters” is thrilled for Corenswet, as the role of Superman is highly sought-after in Hollywood, particularly with the revamp of the DC Universe by filmmaker James Gunn. Superman wraps filming
By the end of July, it was officially confirmed that the filming for James Gunn’s “Superman” had been completed. This movie marks the debut production under Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios, and David Corenswet plays the lead role of Clark Kent/Superman in this film. Additionally, Corenswet also announced the end of production on his social media accounts.
The video focuses exclusively on him enjoying a slice of chocolate cake while gazing at the character, suggesting that he’s celebrating since he doesn’t have to keep up his superhero body right away.
What is Superman about?
According to DC Studios, Superman narrates the tale of Superman’s quest to harmonize his Kryptonian roots with his upbringing as Clark Kent from Smallville, Kansas.
