The energy, the tension, the anticipation – it was all there, culminating in an epic clash between Roxanne Perez and Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Tonight, WWE NXT bid farewell to USA Network in a flamboyant manner, featuring title matches and an adult-themed verbal battle throughout the program. However, the climax came at the last moment, offering viewers a glimpse into the future of the NXT Women’s Division. The closing segment of the night featured a press conference face-off between Roxanne Perez and Giulia before their NXT Women’s Championship fight during the CW Premiere. But there was one star who sought to make an impact, none other than Stephanie Vaquer, marking her debut on NXT television.

Recently, the NXT Women’s Division has been exceptionally dynamic, and it received a significant boost when Giulia made her highly anticipated debut at No Mercy. Since then, Giulia and Perez have had numerous heated encounters, leading up to their championship match next week during the premiere of CW. This titanic clash will decide who becomes the new NXT Women’s Champion.
Tonight, as I stand on the brink of the grand spectacle next week, NXT hosted a presser right within the squared circle, fielding queries from the press. In the exchange that followed between Perez and Giulia, Perez confessed her admiration for her upcoming adversary, expressing years of longing to engage in combat with her inside the ring.
What Perez expressed is that he was a fan of Giulia long before many of her current fans were. In fact, he studied her extensively and watched every match she played in Japan. When her name appeared on his radar, he often pondered if their paths would intersect. And now, here we are, witnessing a dream match for Giulia herself.
Giulia found Perez’s comment extremely funny, while some spectators made jeering noises. Perez explained, “Giulia has never fought anyone with the same level of influence as me in the ring before. It seems people have forgotten that it was I who brought her to WWE. She didn’t approach me; I was the one she sought out. No matter what titles she’s held elsewhere, this is the only title that truly matters, and she understands that. That’s why she traveled all the way over here to find me.
The Next Challenger Awaits
During their verbal sparring, an unexpected voice echoed through the speakers. Byron initially thought it was an uninvited journalist, but Perez and Giulia were searching for someone else. Then, the screen illuminated, revealing Stephanie Vaquer who had a message to share with them.
WWE is gearing up for a significant debut on The CW, and they’ve already unveiled a robust lineup for the second episode too. The first episode promises appearances by CM Punk and The Miz, while the second episode will showcase Randy Orton. It appears that Vaquer might also make her long-awaited debut during one of those weeks, making an already significant event even more exciting.
