We Almost Got a Brand New Jumping Flash Game for PSVR2

As per former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, Sony appears to be diving deeper into their old collection of games, even returning to their earliest creations.

As a passionate gamer, I shared my excitement with VGC about the prospect of Jumping Flash returning, this time in a fresh VR format. Regrettably, despite our best efforts, we couldn’t bring that project to life.

As a passionate fan, I’d put it like this: “I was thrilled to hear that some creators were considering integrating Jumping Flash into their upcoming VR project, though they didn’t specify who exactly was behind this exciting new title.

Shu brought up an example of a successful project he had a license for, which was none other than the reimagining of Fantavision 202X in virtual reality by its original creator.

It’s worth noting that Sony has been delving into its classic intellectual properties, granting them to outside developers for development. Illustrations of this approach can be seen in the recently released Freedom Wars Remastered and the forthcoming titles Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots and Patapon 1+2 Replay.

It appears that a new Jumping Flash game might have been well-suited for the PlayStation VR2, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it will materialize now. Nonetheless, it’s intriguing to learn that discussions about this potential collaboration are underway, even if they don’t ultimately come to fruition.
