Doctors initially predicted she would live only six months. However, despite undergoing four long years of chemotherapy, medications, and treatments, she persevered to give Florence precious memories before she passed away when Florence was six years old.

And she expressed how the film helped her better understand her mom’s journey. 

She expressed her feelings about the movie, saying, “I watched it alone in an entirely empty theater with my mom’s plush toy and a box of tissues, but I couldn’t be happier that I did.” The movie revolves around Almut, played by Florence, as she grapples with the legacy she’ll pass on to her daughter Ella (Grace Delaney) and her longtime partner Tobias (Andrew Garfield). She was deeply moved by the film, stating, “You portrayed every emotion my mother experienced so poignantly. Florence, your performance is truly a gift.

She went on saying, “As a child, I was naive and protected, not comprehending her ordeal. Yet, watching this movie has left me speechless with gratitude. I can’t find the words to thank you enough for capturing my story so authentically. This film is priceless to me, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.
