In the first season of “Wednesday,” young Wednesday Addams (played by Christina Ricci) confronts the menacing Marilyn Thornhill, whose aim was to eliminate all outcasts at Nevermore. Additionally, she encounters Tyler (Hunter Doohan), who turns out to be a monstrous Hyde she had been investigating throughout the season. In upcoming Season 2 of “Wednesday,” while Tyler is set to reappear, another ominous adversary emerges to create trouble for Wednesday.

Using the artifact, she manages to pinpoint the whereabouts of the culprit by employing a pilfered item as a guide. Eventually, she encounters the infamous Kansas City Scalper, yet her contact with him sets off her unique talent for seeing visions, leading to her capture.

Is Kansas City Scalper Real?

According to the footage, it appears that the character known as Kansas City Scalper, whose actual name is Chet, has a dual life. By day, he runs a pet grooming business, but at night, he operates as a notorious serial killer. In an interview with TUDUM, Alfred Gough, the creator of Wednesday, shared that Chet’s fascination with hair, stemming from his dropout status from beauty school, fueled his transformation into a serial killer.

Chet had an unhealthy fixation on hairstyles. After dropping out of beauty school, he turned into a multiple murderer.

The fictitious character known as “Wednesday’s Kansas City Scalper” from a show is considered to be America’s longest-running, uncaptured Serial Killer, having managed to elude arrest for an extended period of time.

In our world, it’s the Zodiac Killer who holds that title – a notorious serial killer operating in the San Francisco Bay Area during 1968-1969. This elusive individual was known for sending cryptic messages to the authorities before vanishing mysteriously.

In a parallel, there was a real-life serial killer case, similar to the Kansas City Scalper’s persona as a pet groomer, involving a convicted woman named Amy Caroline Brown (as reported by Herald). She was apprehended in 2017 following the murder of a man she had met online.

How Kansas City Scalper’s Arrival Impacts Wednesday Season 2

In the upcoming Season 2, the intense feud between character Chet, also known as the Kansas City Scalper, and Wednesday is anticipated to be one of the primary conflicts. The latest six-minute preview ends with Wednesday making a chilling threat against Chet, but it’s likely that she may choose to spare his life instead.

Wednesday’s interest in the Kansas City Scalper dates back to her childhood. It might be that she found herself captivated by how this serial killer eluded capture for such a long time and vanished without a trace. Perhaps, Wednesday kept Chet alive so she could learn the intricacies of his method of evading arrest. This knowledge could prove useful to her, serving as a potential strategy when confronting more formidable adversaries in future escapes.

According to Alfred Gough and Miles Millar’s recent interview with TUDUM, it has been revealed that the main character is presently enjoying her summer break.

Alfred Gough: “To me, the best part was wondering, ‘What actions would Wednesday take during her summer break?’

Miles Millar: “It had to be something insane and dark.”

Investigating the Kansas City Scalper might be one of Wednesday’s pastimes when she has free time, given that the initial episodes of Wednesday Season 2 take place during the summer. Although it may seem ominous, this pursuit could also serve as a way for her to cross something off her list of things to do before she dies.
