Wendy Williams “Permanently Incapacitated” Amid Dementia Battle

As a devoted fan who has grown up watching Wendy Williams‘ vibrant and charismatic presence on television, it is heart-wrenching to witness her health battle with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Having spent years engaging with her candid discussions, witty humor, and unapologetic approach to life, it feels like losing a beloved friend.

Wendy Williams’ health battle has taken a heartbreaking turn.

Nine months after the television host was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which her medical team stated had already affected her ability to communicate, cognitive skills, and made everyday activities difficult for her – a recent court document indicates that her health condition has worsened further.

Based on documents acquired by TMZ, Wendy’s caretaker states that she, at the age of 60, has developed an early form of dementia. This condition has led to her experiencing cognitive decline and permanent incapacitation.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Wendy for comment but has not yet heard back.

According to the report, the filing is linked to an ongoing legal dispute between Wendy Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, and the Lifetime documentary titled “Where Is Wendy Williams?

The news arrives three months since Wendy last appeared publicly, having stepped out of the limelight following the conclusion of her self-titled talk show in 2022.

On August 19th, the previous host of the Wendy Williams Show paid a visit to a holistic wellness store in her native New Jersey, and she was joined by her 24-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

On this special event, a now-removed photo posted on African Bio Mineral Cell Food’s Instagram showed Wendy casually carrying a shopping bag and a bouquet of roses. Her vibrant orange tresses complemented her navy blouse and white boots.

Previously this year, upon deciding to disclose Wendy’s diagnosis, her group articulated their motives behind the action.

Making the choice to disclose this information was challenging and involved thoughtful deliberation, not just for fostering empathy and compassion towards Wendy, the ex-talk show host, but also to increase awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, and offer assistance to the numerous others encountering similar predicaments.

Unfortunately, it’s often the case that people diagnosed with aphasia or frontotemporal dementia encounter prejudice and confusion. This is especially true when they start showing behavioral alterations before receiving a definitive diagnosis.

At the time, her care team also affirmed Wendy was receiving proper care.

In summary, it was noted that she continues to exhibit her unique humor while ensuring she receives necessary care for protection and addressing her needs. Furthermore, she expresses gratitude for all the thoughtful messages and well-wishes she’s been receiving.

One day later, Wendy herself addressed her health news publicly.

She expressed heartfelt thanks for the love and thoughtful words that have come her way since she shared her diagnosis of Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). In a recent statement to TopMob News, she was moved to say, “I must admit, your reaction has been absolutely amazing!

She also expressed gratitude for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration’s encouraging words and their remarkable actions in increasing public understanding about FTD.

Furthermore, as Wendy expressed gratitude for the public’s backing, she ended her speech by emphasizing that she requires “individual quiet time to flourish.

She finished, “Please just know that your positivity and encouragement are deeply appreciated.”
