Wendy Williams Seen for First Time in a Year After Dementia Diagnosis

As a dedicated follower of Wendy Williams, I must say it was heartening to see her recent public appearance with her son Kevin Jr. Despite the challenges she has been facing with her health, it’s inspiring to witness her resilience and determination. It seems like Wendy is not only battling her neurological syndromes with courage but also maintaining her trademark sense of humor.

How you doin’, Wendy Williams?

The former talk show host, who stepped out of the limelight following the conclusion of her namesake program in 2022, unexpectedly appeared in public with her son Kevin Hunter Jr., aged 24, on August 19. They were spotted visiting a wellness store specializing in holistic practices, located in their home state of New Jersey.

In one of African Bio Mineral Cell Food’s recent Instagram posts, I found myself featured alongside the brand’s esteemed owner, Victor Bowman. With my hair cascading in long, vibrant orange waves, dressed in a navy blouse and white boots, I struck a pose that exuded confidence and charm. In one hand, I clutched a shopping bag filled with goodies, and in the other, I cradled a breathtaking bouquet of colorful roses – a symbol of our shared enthusiasm for this remarkable lifestyle brand.

Six months later, it was reported that Wendy’s medical team had confirmed her diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, conditions affecting speech abilities and cognitive processes.

In a statement on February 22nd, they expressed that disclosing this news was challenging and required thoughtful deliberation, not just to foster empathy and compassion towards Wendy, but also to increase awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, and to stand in solidarity with the many others experiencing similar situations.

Despite the challenges posed by her disorders, Wendy continues to exhibit her characteristic wit and humor, and her care team assures that she receives appropriate care to meet both her protection needs and address her requirements effectively.

They added, “She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way.”
