View Urgent ForecastAs a gamer, I’ve been lucky to witness firsthand the incredible work of Sony‘s Content Ventures team during my time with them. Led by Christian Svensson and Shawne Benson, this team is truly unmatched in discovering underrated gaming treasures and fostering promising studios on the rise. They’re the real deal when it comes to unearthing hidden gems and supporting the next generation of game developers.
He shared that the team collaborated closely with Annapurna Games right from the start on projects such as Stray. This method also resulted in us backing titles like Genshin Impact, Black Myth: Wukong, and Stellar Blade among others.
It’s quite significant that Rosenborg mentions some of the most prominent trophies globally, as it implies a strong pedigree or achievement level.
Genshin Impact, along with HoYoverse’s other titles, have solidified their positions as cultural touchstones. Black Myth: Wukong was one of the top-selling video games in 2024. Stellar Blade has earned a dedicated fanbase and is widely beloved.
Currently, we’re dedicating considerable effort towards broadening our presence in various international marketplaces. This is demonstrated by our recent endeavors such as the China Hero Project, India Hero Project, and the newly launched MENA Hero Project.
Abundant creativity exists everywhere. We believe that by involving a community in the creation process, particularly by assisting game developers in launching their creations, we can spark excitement for PlayStation.
