As a seasoned gamer and wrestling enthusiast with over two decades of watching these titans battle it out, I can hardly contain my excitement about AEW ALL IN: Texas! Having grown up in the era of iconic wrestling events like WrestleMania and King of the Ring, this event brings back memories of those glorious days.
In a recent press conference, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) revealed that their biggest annual event, “AEW ALL IN,” will be held in Texas for the first time in 2025. Specifically, it will originate from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and will be named “AEW ALL IN: Texas.” This is the first time AEW ALL IN has been staged in the United States since its debut in 2018 at Chicago’s Sears Centre Arena. The announcement of AEW ALL IN: Texas comes hot on the heels of reports suggesting that AEW was planning to hold a stadium show in Texas soon, as well as one day after news broke about AEW scouting potential venues for a future stadium event in Australia.
During the press conference announcing AEW ALL IN: Texas, President Tony Khan mentioned that AEW plans to return to London in 2026, without clarifying whether this would be for a specific pay-per-view event like AEW ALL IN 2026, a different pay-per-view, or simply for television taping.
Is AEW’s London Hiatus Related to WWE’s UK Plans?
More variables could be at play regarding AEW’s ALL IN pivot in 2025.
At the WWE Money in the Bank event held at London’s O2 Arena in 2023, John Cena made an unexpected appearance to stir up excitement among the crowd about the potential of WWE hosting WrestleMania in the United Kingdom. Since then, discussions have been ongoing between WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE President Nick Khan, and London mayor Sadiq Khan, aiming to make this prospect a reality.
As a passionate Londoner, I am thrilled that our city has a storied history of hosting the world’s grandest sporting events. My commitment is unwavering – I aim to solidify London’s status as the undisputed sports hub of the globe. Together, we can shape a brighter future for all Londoners. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the WWE team in July. The meeting was fruitful, and ongoing discussions are taking place on how to transform our aspirations into tangible reality.
By linking certain events together, it’s been revealed that John Cena has planned a year-long retirement tour starting in 2025, marking his exit from in-ring competition. As of now, the location for next year’s WWE SummerSlam is still undecided, but WWE has already announced that the event in 2026 will span two nights and take place in Minneapolis, scheduled for two years later. Coincidentally, if Cena, who ignited talks about a WWE stadium show in London, were to compete at such an event, it seems likely that it would be SummerSlam 2025.
AEW ALL IN: London goes down on Sunday, August 25th. AEW ALL IN: Texas is set for July 12th, 2025.
