As a dedicated fan of Middle-earth and its enchanting tales, I was deeply saddened to hear about the departure of Bronwyn from The Rings of Power. In the first episode of Season 2, it was shown that her character managed to survive until the end of Season 1. However, the second episode unveiled a tragic turn of events for her as the love interest of Arondir (played by Ismael Cruz Córdova), and she had a chilly encounter with her son Theo (Tyroe Muhafidin).

What happened to Bronwyn in The Rings of Power season 2?
In episode 2, it’s revealed that Bronwyn tragically died off-camera from the wounds she suffered in season 1 during a battle with Adar and his Orcs.
She was shot by an Orc arrow, while she survived the season, it appears she didn’t survive much longer due to a kind of poison in the arrows.
In the second episode, Arondir confides: “I couldn’t prevent Adar, I couldn’t shield her. I believed she was improving. The rot in Orc arrows remains deeply etched in human memory.”
Following Bronwyn’s passing, it’s evident that Theo has stepped into the role of the healer. However, he doesn’t seem pleased upon seeing Arondir. In a chilly conversation, Arondir tries to advise Theo against letting anger and a desire for vengeance control him.
Responding, Theo clarifies to Arondir that he is not his father, and in their eyes, any bond between them ceased with the passing of his mother.
Why did Bronwyn actress Nazanin Boniadi exit The Rings of Power?
Nazanin Boniadi, who played Bronwyn, exited the show for personal reasons.
Lately, Boniadi has placed a strong emphasis on her activism, particularly focusing on women’s rights and liberation in Iran. It’s important to note that her departure from The Rings of Power wasn’t due to this advocacy work.
She said in a statement: “I made the choice not to return for season two of Rings of Power.
“My subsequent priority on advocacy had no connection to this event. Throughout my professional journey, the principles I cherish the most are truthfulness, compassion, and honor.”
