What happens next in The Last of Us Part 2 game?

As a devoted fan, I found myself deep into the gripping narrative of The Last of Us Part 2 game. A pivotal moment in the story unfolds around halfway through, marking a shift in perspective. Instead of following Ellie’s journey, I find myself taking on the role of Abby, reliving the same three days in Seattle from her unique viewpoint.

As a dedicated fan, I embark on an exciting journey alongside Abby and Manny, leaving our stadium home behind, as we undertake a crucial task for the WLF. A momentary flashback whisks me back to Abby’s past, offering a heartwarming peek into her life when her father was still by her side.

Currently, Abby finds herself in the clutches of the Seraphites, imprisoned on their island stronghold. However, it’s the kind-hearted duo, Yara and Lev, who eventually rescue Abby from her plight.

With the WLF attacking the Seraphite community (as we witnessed it from Ellie’s point of view), the group consisting of Abby, Lev, and Yara attempts to flee the scene.

Throughout much of the game, it’s primarily Abby and the younger Lev who are together. Their dynamic evokes a sense reminiscent of Joel and Ellie from the initial game, hinting at a guardian-like relationship.

In this part of the game, they aim to help you empathize with Abby by showing her as more than just a villain. This bonding process makes Abby seem more human and relatable, demonstrating that she too has experiences similar to our protagonist, Ellie – someone who experienced loss, sought vengeance, and now faces the aftermath.

Upon my return to the mainland, I stumble upon Mel and Owen, both lifeless. This tragic discovery propels me into another relentless pursuit for vengeance, with Ellie now squarely within my sights.

Ultimately, the situation returns to the same location. Abby fires at Jesse in the theater, with intentions to also target Ellie.

Just as Ellie was about to be shot by Abby, Tommy unexpectedly pushed Abby at the very last moment, causing Abby’s gunshot to miss Ellie. Despite being shot herself, Tommy miraculously survived. As a result, a fierce altercation between Ellie and Abby broke out.

With only a split second remaining, Tommy intervened by shoving Abby out of the way, preventing her from shooting Ellie. Although Abby managed to shoot Tommy, he remarkably lived through it. This incident sparked a violent confrontation between Ellie and Abby.

In the end, Abby yields to Lev’s persuasion and decides to spare Ellie, allowing her to continue living. The vicious circle of retribution has been broken, and for the moment, all seekers of revenge have found some resolution in their quests.

After departing from Seattle, we’ll skip ahead in time without revealing any more details for now to keep things exciting! (Ellie, Tommy, and Dina are the characters leaving Seattle in this example.)
