What Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa Are Up to Amid Christina Hall Split

As I delve deeper into the fascinating lives of the El Moussa family, I can’t help but be in awe of their diverse experiences and accomplishments. The siblings of HGTV star Tarek El Moussa have made names for themselves in various fields, from reality TV to beauty industry.

The sun hasn’t set on Heather Rae El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa‘s summer fun.

Following the report that Christina Hall, Tarek’s ex-wife, is divorcing her husband Josh Hall after only two years of marriage, Tarek and the “Selling Sunset” star have announced they are dedicating their time to their loved ones.

On Instagram Story update on July 16, Heather (aged 36) shared several pictures. These images depicted Tristan (their 17-month-old grandchild) strolling along the street accompanied by his grandparents and cousin.

On the next day, the reality TV personality had a relaxing “sister spa day” with Jenna Young Piper. Heather shared pictures on social media of them sipping drinks and munching on snacks by the poolside, as well as treating themselves to some high-end spa services.

During the same period, Tarek, who is a father to 13-year-old daughter Taylor and 8-year-old son Brayden with Christina, posted together with Heather on July 15. They wrote about their busy weekend which included “Plenty of time with Tristan, children’s birthday celebrations, summer events, an unexpected dinner out (rare for us), and a special day off for mom and dad.”

Heather is delighted to embark on this fresh experience of motherhood, joining Tarek, Christina, and Josh in the HGTV series “The Flip Off.” This role also grants her the rewarding opportunity to serve as a helpful step-parent to their kids.

Heather expressed her profound love for each of the El Moussa babies during Mother’s Day in 2023, writing, “My heart is overflowing with love for all three of them. Being their mother has brought me joy and fulfillment beyond measure, enriching my life in ways I never could have imagined.”

Christina, who is 41 years old, has been dedicating her time to her children during the news of her divorce. She recently posted a photo on July 17 of Brayden and her 4-year-old son Hudson, whom she shares custody with ex Ant Anstead. The caption read, “Summer evenings at home with my dear boys.”

Just like everyone else, Christina from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” was in need of some rest and rejuvenation. On that very same day, she was seen making her way to Gen Foot Spa in Costa Mesa, California, to indulge in some well-deserved relaxation.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child together on Sept. 22, 2010.

After their divorce, they both took on the role of caring for their daughter. This little girl, as Christina puts it, carries wisdom beyond her years and can ponder profound life questions one moment, while acting childish the next.

“Taylor excels at engaging people in conversations no matter the setting, according to her,” I was told. “She’s full of fun, intelligence, athleticism, joy, and never fails to surprise us.”

Christina and Tarek welcomed their second child together on Aug. 20, 2015.

After their divorce, Tarek and his ex-wife have jointly taken care of their youngest child, Brayden, in addition to their oldest child Taylor. Previously, Tarek has referred to Brayden as a bundle of energy and a kind-hearted boy with an expansive heart.

Tarek expressed, “This boy brings an indescribable level of brightness to my days. I consider myself truly fortunate to be his and Tay’s father. Watching him grow up brings me immense joy and happiness as a father.”

After almost a year of being single following my split from Tarek, I found myself drawn to Ant, a charming TV host from England, in October 2017. Our relationship blossomed in secrecy until we went public with it in January 2018 – an unexpected yet perfect timing as my divorce from Tarek was finalized during the same month. Overwhelmed with joy and excitement, Ant and I exchanged vows in a winter wonderland wedding at our beautiful home in Newport Beach, Calif., on December 22, 2018.

Christina and Anthony, who have daughter Amelie and son Archie with his previous spouse Louise Storey, gave birth to their initial shared child, a son named Hudson, in the year 2019.

The couple had been married for under two years when they revealed their separation in September 2020. Their divorce became official approximately nine months after that.

Since the split, Ant has moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.

I was thrilled to be part of the wonderful moment when Christina and Ant welcomed their newborn son into the world on September 6, 2019. The tiny bundle of joy weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured an impressive 19.5 inches long.

Despite reaching an agreement on joint legal and physical custody of Hudson during their divorce proceedings in June 2021, Ant filed for sole custody in April 2022. He asserted in court filings that his ex-spouse spends approximately “nine full days” with their child every month.

“Upon learning about Ant’s filing, I’m deeply troubled. If his intentions were truly about protecting Hudson, as he claims, then why not resolve this through private channels with a judge or mediation, as my attorney and I have recommended? I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, but I remain committed to being the best mom I can be for my kids. Their well-being is my top priority, and I will always put their interests first.”

Tarek came across the famous star from “Selling Sunset” during their Fourth of July celebrations in Newport Beach, California, in 2019. Their boats were docked next to each other at a marina. Later that month, they were seen sharing a kiss on a yacht. In August, Tarek confirmed their relationship to TopMob News, stating, “I never thought I’d use this phrase again, but Heather Rae is now officially my girlfriend.”

In July 2020, the couple announced their engagement. Then, on October 23, 2021, they tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony situated near Santa Barbara, California. They exchanged heartfelt vows during this romantic event.

I’ve always considered myself as the bonus mother to Tarek’s beloved children, Taylor and Brayden. To TopMob News, I once shared how I feel: “I already have two kids in my heart,” I expressed. “Fifty percent of the time, we care for them together. I take great pride in being their bonus mommy. I cherish these kids as if they were my very own.”

On January 31, 2023, Tarek and Heather happily welcomed the arrival of their newborn son, who weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds and 7 ounces at birth.

According to Heather, Tristan was meant to be the name given to the baby, but ultimately his parents ended up calling him Tarek instead.

His middle name is a nod to Heather’s dad.

In 2021, Christina started seeing Josh after ending things with her second spouse, Ant. They made their relationship known to the public in July of that year, and Christina shared that they had been an item for several months by then.

In her own words, the “Flip or Flop” star shares that she encountered Josh, a real estate professional, during the spring season when she was no longer in a state of panic or survival mode. She had taken a break from social media, engaged a spiritual guide, and consumed the secretions of a Bufo toad to facilitate a mental reboot.

Christina and Josh got engaged that September and tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021.

It wasn’t clear when they got married in reality until Josh initiated divorce proceedings on July 15, 2024, stating irreconcilable differences as the cause of their separation.

On July 11, 2024, during an episode of “Christina on the Coast,” I finally revealed to my viewers the remodeling project of my childhood home that I had kept hidden until then. Previously, I had only shared brief glimpses of my parents in their roles as grandparents.

In 2019, I posted on Instagram that my family and Tarek’s family would come together to watch Taylor’s performance at her school’s Christmas concert as one big happy group.

A few individuals expressed their appreciation for this situation – I’m aware that many divorced couples, including Tarek’s parents, have done the same thing, and it genuinely simplifies matters for everyone. Moreover, Taylor’s happiness shines when we sit together in unison to support her.

While Josh gained public attention through his relationship with Christina, his sisters had already become famous during the 2000s.

I, an unapologetic fan, can’t help but share my admiration for the captivating Stacie, also known to some as “Stacie the Bartender.” Her allure was undeniable on The Hills, where she found herself at the heart of Spencer Pratt’s romantic pursuits. And let me tell you, her story didn’t end there! In Vanderpump Rules season three, I watched in awe as Stacie graced our screens, standing proudly among Scheana Shay’s bridesmaids. What a woman of mystery and charm she is!

Jessica, the ex-Playboy model, frequently appeared on various shows including “The Hills,” “The Girls Next Door,” “Kendra,” “Kendra on Top,” and “Kendra Sells Hollywood” to back her friend Kendra Wilkinson.

In simpler terms, Angelique, Tarek’s elder sister, owns Latitude 33 Hair Artistry in Anaheim, California. She bought one of the houses that Tarek and Christina had flipped back in 2014, which was featured on their HGTV show “Flip or Flop.” In 2019, they collaborated on a digital series for HGTV.

Tarek El Moussa’s mom, Dominique, is no longer with Tarek’s father, whose name hasn’t been disclosed. Currently, Dominique is married to Robert, who frequently expresses his deep affection for Dominique as “the love of my life” on social media.

Tarek hasn’t used his father’s surname, but he acknowledged his father’s milestone 70th birthday in a November 2017 Facebook update.

“The bond between a father and his kids holds great significance. I’m grateful for having a father who encouraged and inspired me, making me believe I could conquer any challenge in life. This photo commemorates our family’s birthday celebrations for him. Without my dad’s support, I wouldn’t have reached where I am today. I’ll carry his teachings forward and instill them in my own kids.”

In an interview with Country Living, Tarek shared that his father was born and raised Catholic in Lebanon and later in Egypt in the Middle East. He encountered Tarek’s mother, who hails from Belgium, when he was still a teenager in Europe.
