What to do with the Old Pocketwatch – Elden Ring Nightreign

In the world of Elden Ring Nightreign lies an ancient pocketwatch, one of the first artifacts, concealing a captivating mystery within. Here’s all you need to discover about its acquisition, functionality, and utilization.

The Old Pocketwatch in Elden Ring Nightreign

You’ll find the antique pocketwatch, called “The Old Pocketwatch”, in Gladius, Night Beast, who resides at the conclusion of the Tricephalos expedition. This is the initial expedition you can embark on from Roundtable Hold. Once you defeat him, The Old Pocketwatch will definitely drop. However, it may also appear during unsuccessful runs, provided you make it to the boss fight.

What to do with the Old Pocketwatch

The antique pocket watch, when attached to a character, provides FP replenishment after each successful attack and enhances Dexterity by 3 points. This artifact has a green hue, allowing it to be placed in a corresponding slot only by accessing the Relic Rites Altar in the Roundtable Hold, which is located next to the big table where you initiate expeditions. However, its capabilities don’t stop there; it also offers additional functionalities.

1. After going back to Roundtable Hold, find the character in white cloak close to the table who is also a priestess. Hand her the Old Pocketwatch. This act will unveil her as the Duchess, and if you choose, you can play as this character. Giving the pocketwatch won’t prevent you from choosing it as a Relic option later, and you can still find it on the Relic Rites altar.

2. Upon your arrival at Roundtable Hold, locate the lady in white cloak standing near the table who is also a priestess. Present her with the Old Pocketwatch. Doing so will reveal she is actually the Duchess, and you’ll have the option to play as her character if desired. By doing this, you do not forfeit the Old Pocketwatch as a Relic choice, and you can still pick it from the Relic Rites altar later on.
