In simple terms, the forthcoming update for “The Elder Scrolls Online” is jam-packed with fresh content. This new version introduces a novel region, a new enemy group, and intriguing puzzles that are sure to draw players back to “The Elder Scrolls Online” once more, specifically during the Season of the Worm Cult Part 1.
In the upcoming update for “The Elder Scrolls Online,” players will celebrate its 10th anniversary by gaining access to a fresh region to discover – Western Solstice. This new area, part of Season of The Worm Cult Part 1, offers a vibrant tropical paradise brimming with unique characters and creatures for interaction. Amid the breathtaking landscapes, oversized seashells, and an unusual tribe of Argonians, there’s a sinister presence lurking beneath the sand, hinting at darkness yet to unfold.
What Fans Can Expect From The Elder Scrolls Online, Season of the Worm Cult Part 1
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but get excited about the latest update for Elder Scrolls Online, dubbed Season of the Worm Cult, marking the game’s 10th anniversary. This Solstice expansion is no mere side quest; it’s a grand endeavor that promises to keep us players engaged and intrigued.
Unfolding in two parts, the island’s arcane divide mirrors the Season of the Worm Cult. In Part 1, The Writhing Wall stands as an insurmountable barrier, confining our exploration to Western Solstice for now. But fear not, there’s a wealth of new discoveries to be made even in this first half of the island. It might be just the beginning, but it’s already shaping up to be an unforgettable adventure!
Western Solstice Expansion
The island of Solstice is filled with both allies and adversaries, and the upcoming update for Elder Scrolls Online will unveil a significant portion of its content. In this expansion, players can interact with a new Argonian faction that’s distinct from other parts of the game universe. Among these Argonians are the formidable Argonian Behemoths, who could pose a unique challenge to the player.
Fans can anticipate a detailed breakdown of the forthcoming update for “The Elder Scrolls Online” as well as the Solstice rewards.
- new World Bosses
- New Delves
- New pets
- New crafting motifs
- Much more
Not only that, but a fresh Public Dungeon called the Ossein Cage will be introduced, along with a novel challenge known as the Trial. Additionally, enthusiasts can look forward to discovering 16 Antiquities, including three Mythic items that are brand-new, and four new Trial item sets. Each set will come with Perfected counterparts too.
After Part 1 of the next Elder Scrolls Online update finishes being showcased, players will be able to explore and utilize all its remaining features. Later on, a server-wide event titled “The Writhing Wall” will take place for the first time in the game, where participants must collaborate to accomplish tasks during Solstice to hasten the demolition of the Writhing Wall. Once it collapses, players can look forward to the arrival of Season of the Worm Cult Part 2 and gain access to Eastern Solstice.
The Worm Cult At The Heart Of Elder Scrolls Online’s Solstice
In the upcoming update for “The Elder Scrolls Online,” one of the series’ iconic antagonist groups, The Worm Cult or the Order of the Black Worm, is making a comeback. Instead of finding tranquility in Solstice, players will find themselves embroiled in the cult’s dark schemes from the very beginning. Their tropical escape will be far from relaxing as the Worm Cult’s influence will be palpable right away. Players must first drive the cult out of an initial village, which they will then use as their strategic base to counter the Order’s broader plans.
As a gamer diving into the latest expansion, I can immediately jump into the new content, but the Season of the Worm Cult is actually a continuation of earlier storylines in The Elder Scrolls Online. In these previous events, I squared off against Molag Bal, and during our showdown in Coldharbour, the Worm Cult was unwillingly dragged into the fray. Mannimarco, their leader, attempted to betray the malevolent deity, only to be banished to a realm of torment afterwards.
In the aftermath of a power void, an emerging force known as Wormblood stepped into Mannimarco’s shoes. After their cult clashed with one of the gods from The Elder Scrolls, they reorganized on the island of Solstice. However, the island was soon overtaken by this cult until it was divided by the Writhing Wall – a formidable magical barrier constructed by the Worm Cult. Once gamers reach Eastern Solstice, they will have the opportunity to confront the heart of Wormblood’s operations and spearhead the assault against the cult and its fresh leadership.
Subclass Changes
In “The Elder Scrolls Online”, the initial update for Season of the Worm Cult aligns with Update 46. This free update introduces the ability for players to personalize their character’s subclass by switching up to two skill lines from three within their class, using skills from other classes as well. Since there are seven base classes in the game, this customization option opens up approximately 3000 unique combinations. However, this feature won’t be immediately available; players must complete a side quest called ‘A Study in Discipline’ before they can use it. This quest will only become accessible once players reach level 50. Additionally, Update 46 includes various enhancements to gameplay quality, such as the Hero’s Return feature for returning players.
