Actress Natasha Rothwell, known for her role as Belinda in The White Lotus, has shared insights about potential developments for her character. Following an exciting journey to Thailand, Belinda now finds herself a multimillionaire and Natasha is curious about where this new wealth might take her character in future episodes.

During a staff development trip, the spa supervisor unexpectedly encountered their old acquaintance Greg (Jon Gries), who is now married to Tanya McQuoid’s (Jennifer Coolidge) late spouse – a past business partner. This encounter took place at The White Lotus resort in Koh Samui.

Following a swift revelation of the scheme devised by him to harm Tanya, Belinda eventually agrees to receive a life-altering $5 million payment in compensation for her ongoing discretion, allowing Greg to carry on his life in Thailand undisturbed.

The actor added, “I believe that genuine release of funds truly resonates with her.” He also found it thrilling to observe this.

However, I’m equally fearful as there’s a passage in the script that caught my attention. I recall highlighting and underscoring it when I read through it. It reads, “She expresses a desire to be elusive.

In other words, she realizes that this isn’t a situation without complications. It’s more like she needs to leave due to the dangers that come with money, but she’s aware of that fact.

In response to claims from certain spectators suggesting I’d sunk as low as Tanya by discarding Dom Hetrakul (Pornchai) following our financial success, I openly admitted my concern that wealth has a corrupting influence, without a doubt.

Rothwell wondered: “Could she manage to avoid falling prey to those traps, and not becoming exactly the type of person she had to endure?

However, the actor held onto hope that Belinda could manage the unexpected surge of money elegantly, even if it wasn’t by diving headfirst into the spa venture that she had previously envisioned.

Rothwell stated, “I believe massage, Buddhism, and spa therapy help her achieve tranquility. I also suspect they bring her a measure of happiness, but what I truly wish for her is to discover something that wealth can buy – I don’t mean happiness; it’s more about the freedom and relief from responsibilities.

When you find yourself with spare time and free from duties, it’s a relaxing and thought-provoking activity to contemplate different scenarios. And though I can’t guarantee it, I believe she would use some of the spa earnings for charitable purposes.

She expressed: “However, my wish for her is that she can treat herself to a well-deserved break, explore exciting destinations with Zion, create the life she desires for him, and ultimately find herself in a loving relationship – be it Pornchai or someone else – where she experiences joy and contentment.

While anticipation for the upcoming instalment of The White Lotus is growing, Rothwell clarifies that she’s clueless about Mike White’s plans for season 4, yet she’d gladly come back if invited to do so.
