As an analyst, I’m excited to share that I’m on the lookout for outstanding apps on the Microsoft Store. The tech titan, Microsoft, has just opened the door for nominations for its 2024 Microsoft Store App Awards, and this opportunity will stay open until Sunday, September 15, 2024. Once all entries have been carefully reviewed, winners will be announced in October.
The large technology company invited everyone to participate in the nomination phase, even developers who wish to nominate their self-created applications.
Microsoft extends an invitation: whether you’re a developer or simply an enthusiast of an exceptional app, we welcome your nominations! If your app isn’t available on the Microsoft Store just yet, don’t worry – you still have time! Publish your app by September 15, 2024, to join the competition and be eligible for sensational rewards, such as Surface Pro Limited Edition Copilot+ PCs.
You can nominate an app through a Microsoft Form shared by the tech giant.
Microsoft outlined the requirements for entry and what winners will receive in a blog post:
Criteria for Assessment: Applications will be reviewed based on their User Interface Quality, Originality, Distinctiveness, and Compatibility with contemporary hardware and technological advancements.
In order to be eligible, the applications should be openly available on the Microsoft Store and they should not be owned by any Microsoft employees.
We invite everyone to join the nomination phase: We welcome developers, enthusiasts of outstanding apps, and everyone else to take part in this process. Your opinion counts, as it gives you a chance to make a difference and get noticed within the Windows community. Our editors will also be on the lookout for undiscovered jewels in the ecosystem and include them in the nomination process.
Introducing a unique segment for fresh talents: Developers whose apps are launched within the award’s submission timeframe will be eligible for this category. Remember to submit the nomination form following the release of your app to join in!
Terrific perks for victors: Beyond the honor of being acknowledged as a top developer in Windows PC app creation, winners stand to acquire exceptional benefits. We are planning to present Surface Pro Limited Edition Copilot+ PCs to our winners, offering them state-of-the-art technology to fuel their ongoing development endeavors.
